Countess Clurature is voiced by Lena Hall, a Broadway singer. She was a part of the Fandom before she got to be in the show. And if I'm not mistaken, she got to be apart of her character design process and song writing process.

this (the mane attraction) is one of my top 5 episodes that I will rewatch over and over and over just for the music. lena hall is an amazing singer with a great career if you ever want to you can see her reaction to this episode she did. also not as big but to show how big this show has gotten other then hiring tony award winning broadway stars if you watch the background ponies around the stage they all make subtle movements which seems small but the big budget of the show is animation so to add those little things in cost the show money and with the fandom behind it they had no issue doing so.
