Okay so full disclosure. I had to make this meal twice because the first one just didn't meet my expectations.

I tried to increase the nutritional value of the recipe by adding some frozen mixed veggies in. And while it would be more filling and provide some added fiber and micronutrients, the veggies just took away from the flavor of the dish too much.

So I took another jab at it and was pleased with how much flavor was packed into this dish. So, since there are no veggies, you all know I recommend serving this with a side of your favorite vegetable :)

Also, I know that some of you do not liked the instant mashed potatoes. So I have provided the nutritional value for this recipe without the potatoes on the notes page of the PDF. Hopefully that will make substitutions a little easier for you. But I personally really liked this over the bed of mashed potatoes.

Regardless of what you pair it with, I hope everybody enjoys it.

anyone who has made this - do you think I could use a brown gravy packet instead of au jus? Trying to avoid going to another store, LOL.
