This recipe is really delicious, and extremely easy to make.

We've gained a few new members recently, so hopefully this recipe is a nice welcome!

For the new members, and any members that didn't know, all of the main Patroen meal prep exclusive recipes are posted on Wednesday at 12pm EST. If you have email notifications turned on for Patreon, you should receive an email every time I post.

I also post a lot of bonus content throughout the week, such as bento box ideas, overnight oats, baked oats, and smoothies. I do a monthly sample meal plan using different calorie ranges as well. So keep an eye out for this month's coming soon.

Thank you to all of you for being here and supporting my content. Without you all, I could not continue doing what I do. I hope that all of the content that I provide here on Patreon is worth so much more than the $5/month.

Teriyaki Ground Turkey Bowl

Not sure what I did wrong. I only had 85/15 ground Turkey and it came out to 636 calories! Would it really be that big of a jump from 93/7? Not sure what I did wrong.

Anonymous

(The ground Turkey was 332 calories alone for each serving)

zachcoen

Yes that sounds about right. 85/15 vs 93/7 turkey is about a 50 calorie per serving difference. 85/15 turkey is 220 calories per serving if you are using Jennie-O brand. You didn't do anything wrong :)

Anonymous

Ok thanks! Not sure what else was different since as a whole they were 636 calories, so 172 more per meal prep.

Loved this recipe! I added frozen edamame beans with my mixed veg - so good! Hit with the 4 year old too. Will definitely keep this one on rotation. Thanks Zac!

This was delicious! Since we moved in together, I've taken over mostof the cooking which has resulted in my partner not being super confident in the kitchen. But he cooked this last night and it came out great and quickly! We really appreciate your instructions, specifically that you include the measurements of ingredients in the directions as well. He's been wanting to help with cooking/prepping more and we're both excited we have your recipes to help include him 😀

This is on my list to make next! But When swapping out a protein say to ground beef or shrimp how do I correctly adjust macros?

What brand of teriyaki sauce is best? Don't want to add extra unnecessary calories!

How much cooked rice would you say you put in each container? I’m using bagged rice so I can’t measure out actually 1.5C dry

Made it today. So good!

Making this today for lunches this week!

My husband made this today and he said he followed the directions to a T but all I taste is the sesame oil. Is it a typo that it says 1 tablespoon? Because that’s a lot of oil to me. I love your recipes just some thing is off on this one for us

zachcoen

No it's not a typo, it's 1 Tbsp. That's odd. You should taste the sesame a bit but it definitely shouldn't be the only thing you taste. If you make it again, to play it safe maybe you could use vegetable or olive oil in place of the sesame oil. You may just have a very sensitive palate to that particular flavor.

Anonymous

I'm personally super sensitive to seasme oil so I only ever put a few drops In a recipe regardless of how much it calls for. If you've never used it before it might be the case.

Love it! Thank you Zach!

Can you change the turkey to ground chicken?

Anonymous

Any idea what the calorie count would change if we subbed instant rice?

Anonymous

Yup! Use whatever you'd like - just adjust the macros! :)
