First off, to all of my new members that just signed up this month, hello and welcome! I hope that this recipe is a nice intro to the content that you can expect to see here!

Second, to all of my Italian speaking members, I apologize ahead of time for my pronunciation of this dish. I promise you, it's not for lack of trying. I practiced saying it for at least an hour before recording :)

With that being said, this is one of my favorite simple pasta recipes. Traditionally, it is served as just spaghetti, olive oil, garlic, crushed pepper flakes, and maybe a little parmesan cheese. Obviously, we know we have to bump that protein up a bit. So I added some chicken. The seasoning on the chicken can be any that you prefer. I just did a simple seasoning so it wouldn't take away from the pasta too much. As Gordon Ramsay would say, "The pasta is the hero of this dish".

This is one of the few recipes with zero veggies in it, so feel free to serve this with a side salad or some roasted veggies of choice.

Just made this-my first recipe of yours. It was SO GOOD, and so easy! My meals will never be as cheap as yours, because I shop at Whole Foods (it's also where I work), but it was still inexpensive. I'm so glad I signed up for a year!

Do you keep the garlic in the pasta?

zachcoen

I do but you can strain it out if you just want the garlic flavor to come from the oil

My husband asks for this every week. He has always been obsessed with my spaghetti, but this dish replaced my spaghetti as his #1 favorite thing to eat.

One of my picky kids tore into this. This is a definite repeat.

Does anyone replace protein pasta for Gluten free brown rice pasta? I have gluten intolerance so wheat is a no no.

This was fantastic fresh, but is there a trick for reheating it?

Anonymous

We usually do one of two things: add a smidge of water to our bowl of food before we reheat leftovers or put a little water in a microwave safe cup/bowl and place it in the microwave along with your food while reheating it. The steam from the helps loosen the pasta up.
