This meal is super simple and packed with flavor! Be aware that it is a little spicy. Not super spicy, but I know some of you have said you are "babies" when it comes to spicy foods. Your words, not mine lol.

The best workaround for this is to make a homemade jerk seasoning and leave out the spicy seasonings. I did a search online and this one is one of the highest rated. So simply follow the instructions and leave out anything that would make it spicy, like the cayenne.

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme (or use 1 teaspoon ground thyme)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (or use brown sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

I'm going to make this tomorrow and try the jerk seasoning recipe you printed minus the heat. Plus, I decided to add some potatoes and not put as many brussel sprouts in. I can't wait to try it!
