Overnight oats are a great way to start your day. They are packed full of whole grains and they are versatile enough that you can add lots of fiber and micronutrients from various fruits.

Some studies have shown that eating oats for breakfast can actually lead to decreased energy intake over the course of the day do to the feeling of satiety. When you feel full and satisfied, you are less likely to snack and less likely to get so hungry that you end up overeating at your next meal.

What brand of protein powder do you recommend for men and women?

Protein mostly comes down to taste preference and cost. I am partnered with Legion so I usually recommend their product, but there are plenty of other great brands. Optimum Nutrition is pretty good and it's sold in Walmart, so it's easy to access.

I'm a big fan of Optimum Nutrition's Double Rich Chocolate. It has no artificial sweeteners (which can take some getting use to and sometimes contrast poorly depending on the type of milk you use in the oats) and it mixes really well. I keep trying other brands and flavors, but this is one is always in my cupboard.
