Never been so excited for a after reaction discussion because pandoras existence really calls the whole lore of the entire Re:Zero world since she can just make up a reality that suits her with her authority Also friendly reminder to skip the new opening you can watch it after episode 21 is over Since it’s not mentioned in the anime the spirits were controlled by pandora that’s why Emilia in episode 10 of this season said fairies are some type of evil spirits because they betrayed her Re:Zeros source material is a light novel! What’s even more impressive is studio White fox probably was at their worst when making season 2 the season got delayed and split and even then when it started airing they were only 6 episodes ahead and had to work from home because of the time it got released and out sourcing some production elements to Chinese studios that were affected the most during that time. Studio bind who makes mushoku tensei is made up out of old staff from white fox and production company egg firm and in season 1 studio nexus whos making eminence in the Shadow rn did 10 episodes of season 1 so white fox could focus on animating the key episodes of the season so they had less in house talent no other studio to help out and from what it seems like a way shorter production pipeline and still did their best to adapt as much of the story as possible Really makes me happy to see you guys give this season and the adaptation so much love because even just today I saw re:zero fans give the adaptation shit. We also learn at the end of season 1 that Subaru has a high affinity to spirits, that’s why Betelgeuse was able to take Subaru over since hes able to force a contract as means to possess someone Flugel is the wise man the great tree from season 1 is named after since he’s the one who planted it
