I think had Thors agreed to become their leader, Askeladd would've immediately surrendered without hesitation. They show it in Askeladd's small disappointment before he has to put the mask back on. He knew Thors didn't want to kill him, and in that moment he was so impressed with Thors that he didn't want it to end in him dying either, so he threw out a hail mary for a way to get out of it.

Yeah one thing i never understood is how Leif keeps losing thorfinn. Great anime tho

I will say this twice! So happy for you guys to react to this gem. It will be so worth it. Top tier in everything and the OST is just chefs kiss.

With Thors and Askeladd they wouldn't have needed to be worried about betraying the deal they made with the Jomsvikings either. Askeladd alone can't handle them, but with Thors, it wouldn't have been a worry at all. Askeladd was 100% serious when he asked Thors to be their leader.

2023-06-22 05:14:28 "berserker mushroom" were actually most likely a real thing, they were psychedelic/hallucinogenic mushrooms that some Vikings used to take. Berserkers were Vikings that were said to be fighting in a trance-like state of blind rage, old icelandic sagas described them to be as strong as a bear in a state of agressive rage, and some actual mushrooms and hallucinogenic plants can provoke to whoever consumes them to be in an intense state of rage

Leif doesn't really keep losing Thorfinn lol, this was the one and only time. By the time they left the Fjord the current would be carrying them and even if Leif notices Thorfinn's not there somehow (while also focusing on being the captain of the boat and guiding it and being on the lookout of any enemies and having to carry Thors' head, and escaping from the people that nearly killed everyone) he could do nothing at that point since both his boat and Askeladd's ships are gonna be carried by the current and wind to wherever they were guided and the momentum is not gonna allow Leif to somehow follow Askeladd to ask for Thorfinn back. The moment Thorfinn took the chance and got into the other boat and it got moving Leif can do nothing to stop it

What's the VS schedule like? How often will VS videos be uploaded?

That makes more sense but i still think they should've explained it better since its a key plot point and i aint the only one that was confused.
