This is one of those episodes where I think it was really difficult to translate this chapter of the visual novel into a 24 minute episode of tv, just because the thing with the RaiNetters in the game goes on for so. long. but it's obviously necessary because it gets Okabe into Feyris' home and her family in debted to him, I think they did the best they could with a very strange part of the game but it's funny how quickly it just resolves.

I don't know how they would do this, but I really wish they could see how this specific section was handled in the visual novel. Personally I think this is one of two spots where the adaptation really lost the impact of the original.

Idk how much this might change your thoughts on it. Kyouma has the ability to retain all his original memories throughout world line changes. He doesn’t gain the previous memories of the kyouma he replaces in whichever timeline he ended up in. Rumiho has all the memories of both world lines which might be more overwhelming than simply not knowing what happened previously. This might also explain why kyouma might not try to make her remember, since it was overwhelming her in the alternate world line. I haven’t read the light novel, but this thought came to mind.
