No spoilers but some cut content. Lillia was actually once a "fighting maid". When she was young she studied Water God Style swordsmanship in her family Dojo, Paul was also a student for some time, which is when he forced himself onto her. After that incident she went on to become a guard for the Asuran princess and was crippled protecting her from an assassin. Her leg was permanently damaged by the injury and poison, it doesn't hinder her much in everyday life but she can't run or stomp with her full strength anymore so she wasn't able to fight anymore. That lead to her loosing her job and, when searching for a means to get by, she happened upon Pauls request for a maid. She thought she could use their history together to blackmail him into giving her that job, though that wasn't necessary as Paul and Zenith welcomed her with open arms.
