hope you guys are doing well. selfishly, i love this watch along series. i found you guys on youtube and immediately joined the patreon when i finished binging the youtube ones. it feels like introducing a bunch of friends to this series. that being said, mental health should always take priority over anything.

"There is no war in Ba Sing Se" makes its appearance! I love the idea of imagining being one of the customers when Jet attacks Zuko. Dude called this poor service worker who probably had a very traumatizing accident with fire a fire bender and that he has to be arrested because of it. If I was a customer watching, I'd totally agree if the waiter wanted to use dual swords to shut up someone who was harassing him.

So a bit of a history lesson on Dai Li (probably my favourite and most realistic element of Avatar). Dai were an elite secret police force formed by Avatar Kiyoshi to protect the cultural heritage of the Earth Kingdom which is just a fancy way of saying that they made dissidents dissapear. I may be mistaken but I think it's stated somewhere (can't remember exactly) that Kiyoshi would later consider the formation of Dai Lee her greatest regret.

Are they though? I can't find that stated anywhere? The design of the Dai Lee seem to be inspired by Mandarins who were government agents in Ancient China and Korea. Also they seem to be very inspired by Praetorian Guard, Janissaries and other personal guard who would betray or control the Emperor from behind the scenes

OMG! Finally someone with the proper opinion when it comes to Mayonnaise!! Hellmanns is the way! I do not know Dukes living in Ontario but if you all give it the thumbs up, I trust your opinion! Miracle whip is just not a mayo, it's a cheap weird tasting mayo sauce alternative.

"There is no tooth fairy, there is no Easter bunny, and there is no war in ba sing se." This has been the episode that, with exception to the finale, I've been most hyped for, this season. The stunned expressions at that ending were so satisfying.

This is my favorite episode by far. At the end when things start to ramp up, you slowly realize how bad things really are. Most people are like: Dai Li start to arrest the Gaang: "damn, some secret police shit" Dai Li brainwash Jet: "thats fucked up" Dai Li replace Joo Dee: "ohh... this is not good"

Without spoiling anything. I'm glad yall brought up the themes and how for a kids show in 2005 they did some heavy things. Genocide, grief, love, propaganda, political agendas. There's an episode coming up that hands down has been praised one of the best explanations for children about a metaphysical subject and about processing emotions. I really want to hear yalls reaction to that. Theres a reason this show topped Netflix's top 10 15yrs after release and to this day is still super beloved.

The best Mayos in Australia are anything whole egg it's not really good for you but that's what makes it taste amazing or the kewpie mayo you get from Asian food stores. Definitely recommend trying to find it in America and trying it. You won't be disappointed
