ThorHammer

Please, no one correct them on who The Boulder actually was

Obsidianfox

one of my favorite episodes. it shows how interconnected the world is. The couple they are helping are the same people Zuko was going to rob in Zuko Alone.

Kemi Stanton

My favourite bit of deep lore about this episode is that if you pause and go frame by frame, there IS ACTUALLY A CABBAGE SLUG in the cabbages! They were TOTALLY right to destroy his stuff lol

Geckodancing

You've all mentioned the differences between the bending styles - I thought you might be interested in these short promo videos about the real life forms each of the styles are based on: Water Bending - Tai Chi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZKgl9l-57g Earth Bending - Hung Gar style Kung Fu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jglqg5kh34 Toph's style is specifically based on Southern Praying Mantis style, which according to legend was invented by a blind woman. Fire Bending - Northern Shaolin Kong Fu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPG2HPaEObE Air Bending - Baguazhang https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4GrxScyjr8 There are no spoilers, so these are fine to watch.

I'm so pumped, the next like 6-7 episodes are pure bangers. Some of the best back-to-back episodes in the series.

Asad Khabir

Just to be clear, the guy trying to capture Toph is not the Boulder. It's the guy who was organizing the fights.

Pixie

The pregnant woman and her husband are actually the same couple that Zuko almost mugged way back in Chapter Seven of this book.

Copper Nickus

Just speaking to the tone shift between the last episode and this one, I watched Avatar week to week as a kid. There was a big break (about 2-3 months) between the last episode and this one which is why it feels a bit different. We were reeling from the fallout of losing Appa so this was actually a nice welcome back. Episode 12 and 13 also aired together in a premier. I skipped a huge school football game to catch it lol.

Colonel Violet

ThorHammer don't get angry, he may or may not have read your comment at the top xD

I must’ve been no more than 6 when this came out but I remember watching it every week with my parents so vividly LOL

Gestrid

The reason some of these episodes are combined is because that's how they originally aired on Nickelodeon. These two episodes, "The Serpent's Pass" and the other one originally aired on Nickelodeon as a mid-season 1-hour special called "The Secret of the Fire Nation". In fact, to my knowledge, to this day, every time Nickelodeon has rerun these episodes (including this one and all future episodes that originally aired combined), they reran them in their combined format, not split up like most networks would for syndication.

Gestrid

By the way, if you go back to the episode "Zuko Alone", you'll see this same family with the pregnant wife. Zuko was about to rob their food but decided not to after he realized the woman was pregnant.

Death Knight

ooooh boy ba sing sei... oh god you thought avatar got emotional the past few episodes? just... wait... no spoilers

Trinity D. Law

You thought these episodes were sad? You're not ready!! Bring tissues next week

Roronoa Zoro

Not just blind. How about deaf lol. The boulder be talking in third person

VexxarSentai

Iroh and Toph are god tier characters, your Billy intros throw me off everytime lol its like your talking directly to me, im having a good day Boom XD

Seraphem

Aang going through processing his grief was so well done, as was Sokka dealing with his feelings for Yui, just, damn this show is so GOOD!

The Smoking Fox

after you finish the show, you need to watch the live action movie of (ATLA). i want to see anger from you. Lol

Veritas

I bet somebody in the Fire Nation once said "F*ck that big wall" and some higher up was like "Huh...say that again...that could work"💡

Josh avarada

I agree, Its a bad movie but its a staple of the community at this point. You have to experience it for yourself

The Seven Deadly Sins

I feel the same way. I went to watch that movie in the theaters and it was...it was an experience to say the least.

King Davis

Today I just realized that Amity and Katara have the same voice actor

Anonymous

There actually been references to katara in toh, specifically the fighting sequence between amity and hunter when trying to get the key to the portal mid season 2.

Anna H

People usually question why didn't they use the ice sheet to cross to begin with; I think it's just because they wanted to stick with the method that would keep them as hidden as possible. They were already almost blown off the cliffside by that fire nation vessel earlier

Anonymous

Sokka IS the true Rizz bender

Anonymous

Can you guys stop calling the wrong person the boulder pleaasssssse?

the one

it was the biggest surprise when they revealed Toph had a crush on Sokka.

Lucile Byrd

I hope yal watch (and react to) the videos of the comic stories after the end of the war, they are very good!
