The Ice king will be fleshed out later as to why he is the way he is. And tbh knowing what I do and re-watching these episodes it just makes me sooo sad. Everything about his interactions makes so much sense now! I'm excited to see your reactions as the story progresses and gets more lore heavy.

I only ever got to season 5 when I wanted to seriously watch all of it (through reactions), so I still know next to nothing, but even then it's still sad based on the Ice King reveals that I've seen.

I think the first main reveal is in season 4! But more specifics definitely are discussed in detail in the later seasons. Especially around why he kidnaps "princesses" it genuinely breaks my heart. I'm glad you'll get to watch through the series in full with them! :)
