a little spoiler coming in: lapis lazuli is a world destroyer type of gem

Honey

This is one of those shows that just gets more story heavy and darker as the seasons go by. It really paved the way for the newer cartoons to be able to dive into darker themes. It's by no means perfect, but it holds a very special place in my heart. I'm really excited for you guys to hit the episode Rose's Scabbard. It felt like the next turning point to me personally.

Iruma Mob 100

I just loved this part: Pearl: I’m sorry! I almost got us killed! Steven: It’s fine, I’m used to it. 😂 Poor Steven

VJ Sins

Its not that big of a spoiler, and when they do say it its easy to miss, but all those locations they visit are on Earth, specifically it was stated by Pearl in the water temple episode that the temple was like a haven for Gems on earth

ThorHammer

This show has a very large hand that it is very slowly revealing

LeFlaneur

Let’s say the pacing is more One Piece than Chainsaw Man. Sometimes the show is pure slice of life.

Kay M

fun fact in case you didnt notice but at the end of episode 27 when they showed the duct tape on the night stand there was a Sailor Moon manga underneath it on the shelf. It went really fast so it's easy to miss

Ashes2Ash

Answering this question real quick at the beginning: Unless the episodes were part of a "Bomb" (large episode drops) or a full "30 minute" episode, the episodes themselves aired one at a time. That meant we only got 11 minutes of Steven Universe a week (if that) back in the day! In later seasons, Cartoon Network stopped caring and stopped advertising, which led to weird episode releases and the aforementioned "Steven Bombs", where large groups of episodes were either aired at once, or dropped once a day, ect.

Even Game

Another fun fact. You're going to hear the outro song change periodically with some episodes. They are actually all the same, full-length song broken up into smaller parts for the outros.

Since you guys are moving through these so much faster now, I feel it's VERY important to note that both Hulu and HBOMax have incorrect episode orders at the end of Season 1/start of season 2. They're in order of when they aired, which got screwed up by Cartoon Network, so after Season 1, episode 45, they get screwy for a little bit. The Intended Viewing Order: S1 E46: Open Book (listed as S1 E51) S1 E47: Shirt Club (listed as S2 E3) S1 E48: Story for Steven (listed as S2 E2) S1 E49: The Message (listed as S1 E46) S1 E50: Political Power (listed as S1 E47) S1 E51: The Return (listed as S1 E48) S1 E52: Jail Break (listed as S1 E49) S2 E1: Full Disclosure (listed as S1 E50) S2 E2: Joy Ride (listed as S1 E52) S2 E3: Say Uncle (listed as S2 E1) From Season 2, episode 4, the episode order is normal for the rest of the series. Yes, though, this is how bad it was. I hope you guys see this, 'cause trust me, things feel very awkward otherwise. PS: I apologize in advanced, but I'll likely be copy/pasting this into future episodes for certainty, unless you guys tell me "Hey, we've seen it, we get it."
