Hey everyone! I have some updates about Forever After and the future of this Patreon! Tank you for waiting. I know I’m late on March and I apologize. My entire March was given to work so now that I’m free I will submit spicy and NSFW tomorrow. I’m still planning on drawing FA art even though the comic finished. I have some mini comic Epilouge ideas which will be a lot of fun once the comic concludes on WT. Thank you for your patience. Below is a novel of my feels now that it’s over. If you’re interested in behind the scene thoughts, please read!

Last night I turned in the very last Episode of Forever After! (At 3am) The series is over at 140 Episodes. This last season has been incredibly complex and took so much work that I’ve been crunching until midnight every night for the past month. I think the series wraps up really well and it goes out with a bang. I believe that everyone will really enjoy how it ends and I’m very happy with it. All those late nights feel worth it. I feel very blessed and grateful to work on such a fun project with incredible people. My experience with the team has been really good and I learned so much working on this comic. I’m really proud of what we accomplished! I can’t show many panels because they’re all spoilers, but I’ll share these.

It’s very bitter sweet for me. I loved this project so much! I’ve always been a huge fan of fairytales and folklore so this was the perfect gig for me. I really enjoyed watching the characters grow, it’s been so satisfying. At the same time, I’m sad they won’t be a part of my daily life. It’s going to be so weird not to draw Robin anymore haha. A part of me wishes they could go on more adventures, but at the same time it’s great it ends here. It’s a totally complete and satisfying piece of work and if we kept going it would have been repetitive. I also can always draw them whenever I feel nostalgic. There’s no way I can forget how to draw them after drawing them over a thousand times haha.

I also want to touch on the fact that this project was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It really tested my time management skills and my art speed. I remember when I was on EP 9 despairing over the deadlines. I thought I would quit before I made it to EP 15. The work load was overwhelming but luckily I found my stride. It feels like a miracle that I made it to the finish line. I think the only way this project could exist is with a team effort. I was lucky to have a team because most creators don’t have that luxury. This last season was so hard on me that I only had the energy to work on Forever After and sleep. It took all my power to finish and I’m proud that I stuck it out to the end. I’m so burned out. I have no gas in the tank. I feel off of social media because doing it felt like a job and I had no energy left. Now that it’s over I want to rest and heal my burnout. I want to make a social media comeback and find my creative spark again.

Despite all that- I still want to make comics. I found my calling! I like that comics are fun and challenging. With FA I specialized in Character Design and if I do my own thing I’ll be working on every part. It’s daunting, but also exciting to learn new skills and grow. I think I’ll have new excitement for my own characters and ideas. I can scope the project to my own skill set to find my work life balance. Though, knowing me I’ll do some ambitious art for fun.

So what’s next?

I reached out to my producer to ask if they have any more projects internally and they’re booked. They said they will look over my pitches for review, so I’m going to be sending them my top 3 in April for their show and tell. I will be posting a lot of concept art in April. (The Spicy/NSFW will be FA though)I don’t have Forever After so I’m treating this like a full time job this month. I have a total of 5 ideas which is INSANE! I have to narrow it down. This week I got an idea for a horror comic about demons so that’s the concept art for today. I’ll post more detail next week.

Here are the comics:

1) Stitches (gothic literature slice of life/comedy)

2) Haunted by You (Coming of age Witch murder mystery, BL Friends to Lovers)

3) Wings of Oil (Romance/War Fantasy Epic, Enemies to lovers )

4) Waves of Foam (Dark Little Mermaid retelling, enemies to lovers romance)

5) Blood Bound (Demonic Horror, What does it mean to be human?? Monsterfucker romance)

I personally don’t have a lot of hope in getting greenlite due to the economic climate rn, but you miss all the shots you don’t take. It seems to me that WT is taking on IP that’s already successful on canvas or finding popular creators hire. I know they used to value legacy creators, but I don’t know if their business model still supports that. In my year of working for WT, I know that numbers are everything. If they regret me, I’m going to find an agent and see if I can go into trad publishing. If that doesn’t work I’ll move to Canvas and make comics my hobby.

If you read this all, you’re a hero! Thanks for being so awesome! I love you all!

It's been such a fun ride, and I really appreciate all the effort you and the rest of the FA team put into the series, everything looks so gooooood! And you all have grown so much! I'm gonna miss these dumb maybe-poly bisexual so much! But I'm also so excited to see your future works too! I just love your character designs soooo much, you've really inspired me a lot with implementing shape design into all of my own character designs! Thank you again so much for helping create such an amazing series!

FA became one of my favorite webtoon over such a short time, i will miss it but at the same time i can't wait to see how it will end. I can't wait to see your next projects as they sound interesting (even though i'm not into monsterfucking), i hope you will be able to publish them. I really love your artstyle and character designs, always so creative and colorful. I wish you the best for the future.
