Woke points indeed my liege. How much more difficult would it have been for Disney to virtue signal their choice in diverse casting if an actor had to cover up their natural ethnic minority status be wearing a colored hue which is non natural. Canon is being left by the wayside in order to genuflect at the altar of SJW mentality. The days where actors wore body paint for titular roles, such as the wicked Witch of the West and the Tin Woodsman, nor the plethora of characters from Guardians of the Galaxy are slowly waning in lieu of wokeness.

Not only can the Genie be described as a slave, in some versions that's his actual title! In the 1939 Popeye cartoon, "Aladdin And His Wonderful Lamp" the Genie says "I am the Slave of the Lamp. I come from the Nowhere, I go to the Noplace, und here I am." He was blue too, though with a heavy German acccent. The other difference between Will Smith and the animated Genie is that he isn't naked from the waist up!

it's okay to be a slave to brown people, not white people. so, i assume this is why no one has an issue with this. if they made him blue, then the argument would be, why did they have to make a black man another color? when Halle Berry and Denzel Washington got Oscars..."oh, he got an Oscar for playing a bad guy! oh, she got an Oscar because she showed her tits and played a ho'! if Will Smith ever got an Oscar, it would be said, "he had to change his color to get one!!" so, i suppose they were playing it safe here. oy, vey! did they paint Eddie Murphy's face green when he played Gumby on SNL? but that was the 80s, none of this woke shit existed. i don't give a shit, i'm not seeing this movie anyway.
