On the other side-

The doctor, leading a team, sat in an armored vehicle hidden in the woods outside the vampire castle, secretly monitoring every move in the castle.

Meanwhile, Michael, who had escaped from the police pursuit, chose to take a taxi back to the vampire castle.

Seeing Michael returning on the surveillance, Selene informed him that she would come out soon.

In the control room, as Selene was about to leave, a furious Kraven said, "If you go with him, don't ever come back here."

Hearing the threat, Selene turned around, staring at Kraven expressionlessly, and said, "Since Viktor is awake, let's see what he has to say about this."

With those words, Selene left the control room, leaving Kraven bewildered.

Only at this moment did Kraven realize that Selene had violated the committee's rules by awakening Viktor a century ahead of schedule. This era of rule should have been under Elder Marcus.

...

Arriving at the garage, Selene chose a Maserati, drove out, and arrived at the castle's main gate. Watching Michael shivering in the rain, Selene pressed a button, and the Maserati's window lowered as she said, "Get in."

After Michael got in, the Maserati started, heading towards the distance.

Unbeknownst to Selene, the werewolf doctor had been monitoring everything from the woods. Seeing Michael getting into the car and leaving, the doctor immediately ordered, "Follow them slowly, don't let them notice."

...

In the castle, Kraven hurriedly went to the place where Elder Viktor was in deep sleep.

Surveying the surroundings and finding no changes, Erika followed him in, explaining, "Look, I warned her."

"I warned her, but she didn't listen. I should have told you earlier."

Kraven, looking around, asked, "Tell me what?"

After a brief pause, Erika opened up, "That person, Michael."

"He's not a human; he's a werewolf."

Hearing this news, Kraven roared unbelievably, "What?"

Just then, an old voice rang out in the room, "Why so noisy?"

Hearing this, Kraven's expression froze. He inwardly thought, "Elder Viktor has really been awakened ahead of schedule."

Kraven turned his head to look at the source of the voice.

At this moment, Viktor walked out from the corner of the room. Behind him were countless tubes inserted with numerous blood bags.

Numerous crimson blood, through various tubes, was helping Viktor recover his strength.

Viktor took slow steps, standing in front of the stone chair, looking at his two subordinates. He waved to Erika, saying, "Leave."

Following the order, Erika left the room immediately, leaving only Viktor and Kraven.

"Do you know why I was awakened, servant?"

Kraven knelt on one knee, bowing his head, and replied, "I don't know, Master."

"But I will find out soon."

Hearing this response, Viktor asked, "Do you mean find her her?"

"Yes, Master."

Viktor closed his eyes and said, "You must bring her to me. We have much to discuss, Selene and I."

"She has transmitted many troubling things to me, matters that need immediate attention."

"Our organization has become weak, decadent."

"Perhaps I should consider other candidates to manage my affairs."

At this moment, while Viktor was reprimanding Kraven, he suddenly gasped for breath, speaking weakly, "Nevertheless, many memories she transmitted are chaotic, without a sense of time."

Evidently, the large amount of disordered memories, due to the lack of a sense of time, made the just-awakened Viktor uncomfortable.

Seeing this, Kraven, kneeling on the ground, immediately spoke, "Please, Master, let me call for help. You should rest."

Upon hearing the word "rest," Viktor immediately stabilized his breath. With a firm tone, he said, "I have rested enough."

"What you should do is summon Marcus."

Kraven glanced at the mechanism to awaken Marcus on the ground, then spoke, "But he is still in slumber, Master."

"Amelia and the Council will arrive here tomorrow night to awaken Marcus, not you."

"You were awakened a whole century ahead of the expected time."

Hearing his servant's words, Viktor's gaze deepened, contemplating something.

...

On the other side-

Selene drove with Michael towards the distance.

While driving, Selene spoke, "Never come back here. They will kill you."

Michael incredulously shouted at Selene, "Why? Who are you people?"

Selene looked at the panting Michael, whose clothes were soaked with blood, and then directly pulled open his shirt at the shoulder. She immediately found out that Erika didn't lie; Michael had been marked by a werewolf.

Seeing this result, Selene sighed helplessly.

"You are now caught in a war that has been going on for over a thousand years."

"A bloody conflict between vampires and werewolves."

After a pause, Selene said, "I hope you are lucky. Most people die within an hour after being bitten by a werewolf."

"The virus we transmit is deadly."

At this moment, Michael suddenly asked, "If you bite me, will I become a vampire?"

"You will die!"

"No one can survive the initial turning of both species."

Turning back to look at Michael again, Selene said, "The correct thing to do would be to stop the car and kill you."

Upon hearing Selene's words, Michael angrily roared, "Then why did you help me?"

"I didn't!"

"I tracked you to kill your fellow werewolves."

"My only interest is why werewolves urgently need you."

Soon, Selene brought Michael to an old building. The circular staircase indicated the building's long history.

Thinking about his situation, Michael curiously asked, "I saw some things, some illusions."

"They are not illusions; they are memories."

"You were bitten by him, and his memories were transmitted to you."

Reaching the top floor, Selene opened the door and said, "This is one of the places we use for interrogation. It should be safe."

Entering the room, Selene turned on the lights and opened the blinds. She then went to the refrigerator, took out a blood bag, and tossed it to Michael.

Taking the blood bag, Michael looked confused. He then looked at the label on the bag and read, "Ziodex Industries?"
