This will probably be the final Crushing Comics episode I share on here for now, as I'm wary of over-using the push notifications to all Patrons such that you miss an awesome future post about special content (like the one you'll be getting in the next 24hrs).

However, I'm hoping to still get them up on YouTube almost daily throughout the month. We'll see how I do!

This episode benefited from my extensive three days of editing experience. I sketched out what I wanted all the graphics to be on my first watch and got them all in during a single pass without doing anything crushingly dumb.

(I'm not so certain I need to be doing THAT MANY graphics, but I do think having a touch of visible editing separates you from the pack of people making random videos on their phones.)

It still took two hours, but that's with building Photoshop actions plus placing 30+ graphics! Asset management is still a challenge. In general, I need to learn some best practices on asset management.

In generally, I plan to do a big video push throughout this month to build up more subscribers and to improve my process flow so that I can more nimbly get out video in the future.

I'll leave you with a question: Is there anything about this series that you'd enjoy as a Patrons-Only perk for all levels? I'm open to any suggestions!

Crushing Comics Ep 004 - Uncanny X-Men Omnibus, Vol. 3

On this episode I was surprised and delighted to unwrap one of my favorite runs of all time - Uncanny X-Men Omnibus, Vol. 3! I wasted no time in opening the plastic wrap on that one. Did you wind up digging the final video? I think this was the comment that planted the seed in my brain about it all the way back at the start ;)

Lol - absolutely loved it! I went and took some pics of my collection when you'd finished to send you, but couldn't work out how to message you them directly without it being public.

Hey Peter, I am really enjoying the videos so far (not sure if it's the books you have unpacked, but you certainly made me consider trying to get earlier Marvel Cosmic material when you revealed Infinity War). I guess I am comparing your collection to my own too as you unpack and stack! I will set my YouTube notifications to get your new posts there. Also, I would be interested in a final video after it's all unpacked and discuss how you choose to arrange them (alphabetical, chronological, by creator, etc)
