Ive watched this show like 3x and i still cry and get pissed through out it.. P'Pai sat there WAAAAY to fckin long with tht guy and did the BARE minimum to stop him.. tht kind of oblivious naive behavior can be a real problem. ..i have to get on my BF because he wanna be nice to everybody and cant see their true intentions meanwhile i see through all of tht but now im the mean GF who dnt wanna tlk to nobody (I DNT) you just clean avoid even being in tht position in the first place as you said..

So I extremely dislike the way they dealt with the Pai situation in the drama. In the novel, he's standing around talking to his friends and there's a girl hanging off his arm, but that's it. Sky gets insecure, as is understandable when you've been through the absolute wringer like he has with his ex, and his trauma is so large that of course he runs instead of trying to communicate. Turns out, Pai let her hang off him because he's never had to reject someone before, plus he's so used to having to be a people pleaser for business negotiations, so he just let it be and avoided her other advances, figuring there was nothing wrong since he wasn't doing anything. I feel like being on your own, cuddled up on a couch with someone draped over you is vastly different than someone hanging off your arm while you're standing and talking to other people in the room. Maybe that's just me, but the drama paints Pai in a worse light than in the novel. He was still wrong in the novel, but it was more understandable. If I'm making sense. And he realized afterwards that he needs to be more firm and straightforward with his past flings in terms of rejection.

Okay, having not read the novel, this was basically how I thought that scene should have happened so I'm glad to have found your comment! In the show, Pai, who has completely fallen for Sky, allowing someone to stand a little to close/cling to his arm could happen, but moving inside to sit down and let them get draped over him to that degree before telling them not to? It just doesn't make sense...
