I'm only a bit through but I gotta help you for ABOAB because your face I was laughing so hard. Basically culturally in Asian countries, from my understanding, blood types are like asking someone for their astrological sign in the West. It's not considered a personal question at all and is more like 'oh so you have these traits because you are x blood type' just like how you would if like you said 'oh you have these traits/personality because you are a Capricorn or something' So basically they are asking the deep question of 'What's your star sign' lmao It's why blood types are really common that idols mention on variety shows or in their profiles. There is even a group, B1A4, where their name is their blood types.

Crying watching your react to ABOAB...🤣🤣..It's a Korean and Japanese thing. (I think Asian in general?..but I'm not so familiar with other cultures?? ) Personality based on blood type is a real thing. They actually had issues with employers in the past not hiring particular bld types (yes that was an interview question along with what your parents employment was) because they thought it impacted on your work ethic and ability to get on with others...O or B is preferable as you are more gregarious... A more dominant...It's not taken so seriously now, younger generation in Korea just use it as a bit of fun ..kinda like we use zodiac signs...not my favourite song either. Most of this album is much better live I think..Gentlemen is really fun live...It's not my favourite-ist SHINee's album...But I love 君のせいで..(or Because of you.. or Baby Blue) Become Undone (..I think it's more about about after the end of a relationship in which they weren't the one to end it rather than cheating) and Nothing to Lose. Diamond Sky is my favourite...it's kinda special for Shawols..👌

RJ your FACE when ABOAB got to the blood type! I didn't know I had it in me to laugh that hard. I'm so sorry because yeah, for someone with no knowledge, I'm sure it is super strange. There was a kdrama or movie with blood type in the title a million years ago and when I found out about that I was like ??????? But yeah, it's a thing, as people have better explained above. If you ever look at interviews with idols, there are almost NEVER asked about Western zodiac, but almost always asked about blood type. It's the equivalent of seeing an old boy band profile where it's like "Justin's an Aquarius! JC loves jokes! Lance wants to go out for pizza!"

Don't feel bad or self conscious about your favourites list! There is so much good music in kpop it's overwhelming. You clearly enjoy SHINee so far, and it's fun to watch you discover them, but if that were ever to change that would be ok too, this is your channel watch whatever you want! Their Japanese discography has a few more cutesy/cheesy tracks and leans more into ballads as well (some of their best!). Some of my favourite hype songs are JPN though like Stranger, Burning Up and Picasso. I'm just realising that none of my favourites except for Diamond Sky are on this album like Your Number, DxDxD, Moon River Waltz, Keeping Love Again, Password, Lucky Star, Wanted, Sweet Surprise, From Now On, Tell Me Your Name and Seasons. ABOAB has an AMAZING concert performance where they were hanging off of this stage contraption I can't even describe it but it is a must watch. Blood types are always listed in idol's profiles but in the last year or so MBTI types have kind of taken over instead. I really think that SHINee's greatest strength is their concerts, you might enjoy watching them more than doing album listens? I can send you links to them all if you'd like. Their live vocals/choreo/sheer stage presence really elevates most of their songs. Always enjoy your thoughts on the lyrics! Hayashi wrote the lyrics for Melody, he also wrote Superstar and Boys Meet U(incidentally my least favourite SHINee song) which are both super happy haha. Diamond Sky is a bit of a special song for shawols, we all make a diamond shape with our hands in the air at concerts.
