Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well and September has been a good month for you all! I'm super excited that the spooky season is rolling around (I mean, mainly because it means we're closer to Christmas) but also because I've got some really fun videos planned for this month! I'm actually planning on only doing two videos- one at the very start of the month (should be out around a week/week and a half from now) and a very long-awaited deep dive later in the month! This less busy schedule will give me the proper time needed to give the deep-dive video the time it deserves!

I'm also chugging along with my side project- I've actually been sorting through demo reels and am hoping to have the project fully casted this month!

Alright, without further ado let's move onto the next video topic!

Next week's video topic is The Disaster Of GarfieldEats!

If you don't know what GarfieldEats was, it was a Garfield-themed food delivery app originating in Dubai that launched in a few other cities worldwide before setting up it's first physical storefront in Toronto, Canada. The food served included garfield-shaped pizza, lasagnas and bright orange 'garfaccinos', all of which were described as gross, inedible, and of course bright orange. The founder, Nathen Mazri, is (no exaggeration) actually unhinged- from my understanding he's a trust fund baby who used his father's millions to launch bizarre, poorly marketed brand tie-in food places- all of which have basically failed spectacularly. From very public fights with the storefront's landlord (later hilariously described as a 'landmonster'), to covid denial and tinfoil hat conspiracies posted on his social media, to just straight up thinking he's a superstar celebrity, to truly bizarre public relations and marketing. I really can't describe this guy in words, so I'll close this post with a poem addressed to Nickelodeon and ViacomCBS that he posted to his Instagram 2 days ago. No words.

Oh my Viacom,
At 27,
My dream started with Jim Davis
It was an orange life full of daisies
I opened GarfieldEATS
To take it from west to east
But my dear Viacom,
You rehomed the fat cat
Leaving me out and cold
With Odie and the fat cat
Along with 400 licensees
Not knowing what our destiny will be for our proud restaurant indeed.
Oh my Viacom,
Our landmonster made headline news
The virus left GarfieldEATS with no clues
Rather than to pack our bags and move on with our rules
You can hear the fans' cries
And their eyes full of tears.
Jim Davis told me it will be OK
Hang in there with the cat and don't quit. Ok?
I said OK godfather. I trust you like my own father.
Oh my Viacom,
Finally you gave me what I need today
Indeed, what an orangy blessing day
You made movies I love
You raised me up.
You believe in me
Like no other
Oh my Viacom, this time love me, feed me, don't leave me and I shall make you proud
Worldwide.
And Don't forget i am your youngest
#Garfield licensee 😉
Take care of me at youth
I'll take care of you in your golden years.

Stay safe and I'll see you all in the next video! :)

One time I was walking home drunk from a party and I walked by GarfieldEats, which I already knew about all of the goofy shit about it, however that was the first time I noticed it said "Love me, feed me, don't leave me" and I laid down on the sidewalk and cried.
