TK’s point at 1:08, we’ve gotten rid of so much but we’ve found that we’re able to commit ourselves to many other things we didn’t before… because things were in the way. It’s quite a long journey and ongoing learning experience. Now I can commit to time with my family, to creating a new business, to playing the violin, to exercising outdoors, and being involved in my community. I didn’t have this capacity before. I was drowning in stuff and the endless cycle of consumerism and reactivity of social norms. I’m excited to see how much farther our family can go with this. 4 years later, I’d never go back. But I still love my bed. Ha!

those who have a lot are not free, but those who need little, says Stefan Brunnhuber. it is an attitude, a kind of philosophy. self-reflection is the basis for change, for progress, for healing, for self-efficacy and for abundance, for letting go and being content. self-reflection may hurt at first, because humans look first for failure, mistakes, guilt, things going or feeling wrong. that is in us, yeah - but why? because it was and still is essential for "survival"- but it is too "loud", so take that for a learning and thank that "voice" in your head and turn it down just a little. same for the reflex that tells you that you are incomplete. no, you came to this world as a wonder and you are whole already.
