Canadian here who used to live in Newfoundland. It's pronounced neither of the ways you're saying ha ha. Try losing any emphasis and then say New-fin-land but really mush new-fin together rather than trying to say New-Finland. I'm super late to the game, but hopefully that helps 🤣
