Patreon Exclusive. Joshua and Ryan talk about how, without constant vigilance, the things we own can end up owning us, and they answer the following questions:

Are we still doing the right things if they can’t be held up to scrutiny? (05:23)

What does minimalism illuminate? (36:06)

How do I appropriately and tactfully address my in-laws giving our family things we don’t need or want? (44:24)

Why do some people force their ‘love language’ on others? (49:33)

What does it mean to “get to the ‘why’”? (50:46)

At what point will my record and CD collecting be considered hoarding? (51:55)

Is it possible to have a healthy relationship with a storage room? (54:40)

If my film collection is beginning to feel burdensome, is my bar for what I hold dear simply not high enough? (1:00:35)

If we have a hobby—like gardening—that requires us to collect things, how do we create boundaries and how do we determine what’s enough? (1:03:46)

How do I stop my impulse to buy multiples of items that tend to wear out quickly? (1:07:27)

The sound of records is amazing. Whilst I’m listening to you, I’m making space for my record player to be back in my office/my sanctuary room. It had been left downstairs unused since moving house over a year ago. I miss relaxing with the music from a record. My limit to the number of records is one square of my IKEA Kallax bookshelf.

Thank you for sharing your financial state. I was totally unaware. I'm uncertain if you've brought it up more than once, I usually only listen to your weekly podcasts
