Really like how we’re building on ‘the feral queen above’ from Redd Unleashed. Nature feels very cyclical here (‘in need of another storm,’ and ‘feed, refresh the world’ and ‘children who feed the void’), which is a good way to set up the storm as a necessity. It is very much on purpose, and what needs to happen. Nice set up with the Vinnera crossover; we get some plot points, some major players, and the tease of ‘consort.’ Redd’s grandmother traded books for stones, dyes, and experiences. The last one feels like a wink, but I don’t mind it.
