The patcher can be a smaller download as it can just patch small portions of larger files if needed. But it is all moot as I'll be moving to a new installer/patcher/updater system much like other programs already use.

I was going to report a problem entering keys until I accidentally lowered the Y resolution and found the text box and button that was hidden by the task bar before. Might want to reduce toe resolution.

Hey new here and just wanted to say awesome work :) I have two requests 1) Could you add hands and full body (with on/off control) for full body resist (like the effect with the head)? 2) Is there a button that turns off the toe controls (unless there is one and im just missing it) if not could one be added?

I've attached my controllers to my fleshlight with sellotape and it produces a very real effect. Is it possible to move the position of the green possess spheres to make it easier to line things up?

I don't know what the deal is, but when I click the select button on either controller it just automatically cycles through stuff - tabs, sliders, everything. It was all fine just 2 days ago and I haven't changed anything that I know of... replaced batteries, etc. I don't notice it in anything else, just in VaM. If anyone knows what the hell the problem could be in general, let me know because I can't use the program currently. Thanks

Do you have a flight controller or other game controller plugged into your computer? I have found there are some legacy controls that are still active and cause tab changes to happen based on one of the axis inputs from these controllers. For now, I would suggest unplugging all controllers you are not using until I can disable this.

Scenes from reddit can be placed into Saves/scene folder and used there. Many people include instructions with their scenes on where to install so everything works right.

It is possible to make the game more Mouse/Keyboard compatible?? I mean, right now, you can access the game without VR, and that is fantastic. But the actions you can do with mouse/keyboard are very limited. I know it can not be controlled as good, smooth and precise as the VR, but there are some "minor" things that will be great to implement: The major disadvantaje when playing with mouse is, that you can not just "grab" and move the body parts or the items. Again, it cant be done exactly like with the VR controllers, but maybe it could be done like - left click and hold on any body part, and moving the mouse you can move that part, and maybe holding right click too, you can rotate it -. Is just an idea. The other function that is not possible with mouse is the possesion. It would be great to click "Possesion", and then Click on the green ball, and in that moment, you are controlling the head of the person with the movement of the mouse. Im not sure how the movement of the rest of the body could be implemented while you are possesing the head the the mouse, but this are just ideas. And the final problem I found, is that many actions requires to press the "select" or "A" button of the VR controller. Even for simple things like taking a snapshot for example. And you cant press "Enter" on the keyboard, or "A", or "Select" on an Xbox controller or something. You just cant press the button that the game is requiring, because you dont have the controller that have that button. So many times, you get to a dead end, where you can press the button, so you cant go ahead, and you cant quit that message either, and then you need to restart the game. So it will be a good idea to let the Keyboard control that kind of basic functions. Im totally aware that this game is totally VR orientated, but I think that with some little changes on the controls, will be enjoyable even for people with no VR set, and that will create a larger market of pottential customers for you. By the way, the game its absolutelly great even at this state of development, and the performance is pretty good even with all that phisics working together and pretty beatifull graphics. I hope my humble opinion will help with something ;) Thank you for your work

It does run with TriDef 3D Ignition (on nVidia and AMD cards) and looks phantastic. Only limitation is that mirrors do not work correctly (reflection is in mono on screen depth) and the UI is not on screen depth, so a bit hard to operate with the mouse pointer, which of course is at screen depth. All other aspects (including soft-shadows) work perfectly in 3D and beside VR, VaM in 4k and 3D on a big 3D-TV looks amazing.

I think I mentioned this before, but would it be possible to bring back a function akin to the 'possessing multiple nodes' bug from version 1.1?<br><br> So that I can roleplay and record ghost possession / fusion scenarios <a href="https://imgur.com/VfUQkD5" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">like this one</a>.<br><br> It could work with a simple "possessable by next node on contact" checkbox which can only be activated if collision is disabled.<br><br> Thanks for reading!

Causes my GPU to crash, and that hasn`t happened with any other game/app so far. Though only using RX 480, Ryzen 1700x and Vive to go with it. The intro scene loads normally, but when trying to load something else -Zip-

@Meshed VR - Could you give an short answer to why you chose unity as engine? I learned that VAM's bottleneck in terms of fps often seems to be unity as it puts heavy load on the CPU instead of the GPU so that it is limited to relatively new systems if one wants to run it at a reasonable fps. I saw some other vr/sex/blahblah apps out there in developement which use other enignes i. e. unreal. They provide much higher fps. So, could you maybe just give a quick insight for dummies like myself on why you chose that way? I've got no idea whether VAM uses features of unity which all the other engines dont provide, so...

Also thank you for the animated morphs! I will be making some scenarios to share. Would love more morphs for (and better shaping for) things like individual muscle groups (IE biceps) - can make flexing animations etc.

my guess is that its because Unity is easy and has tons of resources/plugins. Personally I hate games made in unity but i can respect how easy they have made game development especially when Unity was first released. I am not a game developer but an avid indy gamer who has watched the growth of the industry.

Highly unlikely that it's gonna make the end of this month, there's a major performance tweak in this update which took about half of his time but clothes and other content were also meant to be a part of this update. He's probably working on the latter and bug fixes then he'll need to test it too, I'd wait about a week or so.

Actually I've discovered that steam has an app called Virtual Desktop Dashboard and that puts your desktop in the app you are running and works quite nicely.

Yeah 1.7 is built on 2018.1. I was using the beta and just switch to the official version. There are a couple of pesky bugs with 2018.1 I'm still trying to sort out, like VaM refusing to exit.

I'm considering a new release strategy going forward to help minimize delays. I have been working on new features 1st for a couple of weeks, and then focusing on content + release scenes, etc. last. By doing this, I sometimes run out of time for the content &amp; scene work as is case with 1.7. If I instead work on content and scenes 1st, and new features 2nd, I can always push a new feature out to a later build. The only issue I see with this is I like to make new content and scenes demonstrate new features.

I personally don't think you need an entire set of features each patch. You could focus more features that users can use to create more variety of content, leaving scenes at low priority. I mean, create the tools for users to use. You think 1.7 will be ready for this day 5?

Yeah would hate for you to think you exited only to find it is still running on your desktop later. I think I have a fix, but unfortunately it means switch back to a different backend system that isn't as fast. Seems like a Unity bug with their new il2cpp backend for windows native.

Meshed you have got to provide accurate release windows. I really don't care how long you take to gets things just right, but you have to give us information. I have read the trello top to bottom and I am so excited about everything you've done. I am refreshing this page multiple (hundreds?) times a day because I need to know how to plan out my time according to your releases. Don't bother with religious monthly deadlines because that does not mimic the actual timeline of your workflow. Just make release dates when you want to and stick with them. That's all I want, personally.

dunno about anyone else but I always get pissed off during the first week of the month, not with the waiting for an update but with the selfishness and impatient nagging for the release. !! Come on guys your nagging only adds MORE pressure on to Meshed plus the time wasted answering. Who cares when the release is made? It is coming, it always does. Have some thought, be patient. It's not like you have nothing to play with after all.

ETA - 3-5 hours to release. I need to redo one of the built-in scenes as there was a collider update issue on male gens with the new skinning system. Everything else is completely done. I'm working on a new release strategy because clearly I'm trying to close too many things last minute and it causes delays. I'm going to trick myself by saying a release every 3 weeks, and then I should be able to hit 4 weeks. I seem to be consistently off with my estimates by about 3-5 days and have to kill myself at end of month to finish. I can't keep doing that as it is costing me too much (health &amp; relationships). Likely means each release will be less packed full of goodies, but will mean more consistency and prevent burn out. That's all for now. Thanks all for your support!

You should do a spinoff and make vam into strip club simulator, with realistic business/economics systems. Don't forget to hyperinflate the drink prices! Add in VR boxing when the player assumes the role of the bouncer and needs to kick someone out. Possibilities are truly limitless!

This is not a bad idea. :) I have always thought that while VaM is a sandbox, I could easily use the engine to make some small and cheap VR games with it. Strip poker, etc.

I had no idea this post was still active and have been starving for news. A few thoughts about the release cadence and our overall expectations. A while ago you said you couldn’t keep up a monthly cadence and I know most of us were supportive. I also see at the end of the month how many pledgers you lose when no update comes. I worked for years in software and have been in the same boat a long time ago (in a very different situation and environment). I tended to always bite off more than I could chew in terms of what I tried to accomplish with updates. My advice is to keep the updates small and frequent. You will do better financially with a monthly release cadence w just content update (that you do first as you suggested) and it will allow you to work on features that take several months to complete as there will always be something new you’ll have ready. And when the longer term features are finally done you include it in that months release. If it’s not ready the release goes out without it. I really think this will solve most of your problems now- of course some will never be happy but this is the best compromise.

The montlhy loss of pledgers is a Patreon anomoly. Check all Patreon projects - they have exact same thing. People back out of pledges at end of month after they get notice from Patreon to remind them of upcoming bill. But in addition to that Patreon shows backer numbers in a fuzzy way, and they seem to do adjustment for backers with previous month failed payments at this time. I am going to adjust internally to be on a 3 week internal schedule to give me a last week for final testing and all the tidbits that are required to finish the release. I'll also be better about more frequent posts so we don't have to post in old threads like this one! :)

What kind of tweaks we’re made to the soft body? Are thu noticeable visual/asthetic differences? Or just performance enhancements (FPS or whatever technical stuff lol)

Only performance optimizations in 1.7, although as part of the 1 frame of lag was removed so there might be subtle difference in response. I still have open item to revisit breast soft-body to improve that
