Patreon kinda sucks (Patreon)

Hey guys.

Recently, I've been thinking about making a switch away from Patreon. Reason: the fees are fucking atrocious. You guys can see roughly how much money I earn on the front page—around $250 p/m.

However, if I total my subscribers, it's around ~$460...

Patreon isn't my main source of income (I have a job), but that doesn't mean I like paying $210 a month in platform fees or payment processing fees. (that's more than some people in my 3rd world country earn a month)

Okay, so what's it got to do with you guys? Well, I've long wanted to reduce the price on some of my higher tiers to be a bit more competitive. If I save a ton of money on fees, that won't be a problem.

I'm scouting around for alternatives, but so far I'm not too happy with them. Most likely, I'll end up making my own website on wordpress or something like that.

When that's done, I hope you guys will support me over there, I'll certainly make it worth your while.
