I can’t speak to what it actually is about this match but perhaps it’s because it feels more personal than team-based you know? Like with Dateko, it was the foundation of the team trying to recover their pride after being destroyed by the Iron Wall previously. It was cathartic for them to be able to get a win against an opponent that caused the majority of the starters to doubt themselves and for Asahi (Karasuno’s Ace), to leave the team entirely. But here now with Aoba Josai, this match is more like a personal dispute between Kageyama and Oikawa. At least that’s my take on why it may feel so different. That said, great call on the dump! You’re picking it up the lingo, just trust your instincts. You got this!

Good point! I also feel like because they are not completely new and I know they were good that it just feels different. I may just be feeling the same way with Neko as well if that rematch ever comes 😆
