As you step over the threshold of twisted vines and ancient trees, the air suddenly fills with an otherworldly glow. From the shadows, the druid emerges, clasping a lantern that pulses with a soft, mesmerizing light.

With a whispered incantation, the druid activates the Dreamlight Lantern. A cone of radiant light bathes your group, the light seeming to solidify into tendrils of mist that weave around you. Despite your efforts to resist, your eyelids grow heavy, and one by one, your companions succumb to the enchantment, their forms slumping gently to the forest floor in peaceful slumber. Behind the lantern, the grove remains dark, untouched by the spell's influence—a clear message that you've tread where you are not welcome. 🌙🌿💤

Dreamlight Lantern

This lantern, wrought from silver and glass that shimmers with a spectral sheen, emits a light that dances like the surface of a tranquil pond at midnight. Its unique enchantment captures the essence of dreams, casting a pacifying aura.

When activated with an action, the lantern sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet for 10 minutes. At the beginning of the turn of the one who lit the lantern, each creature in the bright light must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14) or fall asleep, as per the sleep spell, affecting creatures up to a total of 5d8 hit points. Creatures within the dim light have advantage on this saving throw.

Directly behind the lantern, a cone-shaped area remains dark and unilluminated. Creatures within this area of shadow are not subject to the lantern's effects.

The lantern can be lit can be used once and recharges at dusk.
