🌾🔪🌅 In a land where the harvest defines the rhythm of life, an axe was crafted, a tribute to the enduring cycle of sowing and reaping. This axe, known simply as Rooster's Cleaver, emerged from the heart of the community's traditions. It was shaped by the hands of a faceless master, its creation steeped in the celebration of the land's fecundity and the tireless labor behind the bounty.

Each year, as the leaves turned amber and the air carried the scent of ripe fields, the axe would be raised high at the festival. It symbolized the breaking of bread and the sharing of the harvest's wealth. The axe, with its rooster-inspired motif, was not just a tool of toil but an altar of sorts, upon which the people laid their hopes for the seasons to come. 🌾🔪🌅

Rooster's Cleaver

Weapon (battleaxe), very rare (requires attunement)

This remarkable battleaxe appears almost whimsical at first glance, with its handle carved to resemble the leg and claws of a rooster, leading up to a head that is shaped like the body and tail feathers of the bird. The axe's blade arcs gracefully, polished to a mirror finish, with etchings of feathers that catch the light with every swing.

While you are attuned to this weapon, you gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.

Feastbringer's Cry. Upon scoring a critical hit with Rooster's Cleaver during the first round of combat, a surge of uplifting battle fervor spreads to your allies. All allies within 5 feet of you gain inspiration, receiving an additional d6 that they can add to one attack roll, saving throw, or ability check of their choice before the end of your next turn.

Rooster’s Latch. The axe's design is as functional as it is fearsome. Upon hitting a creature with Rooster's Cleaver, you can opt to initiate a grapple against the target using the axe's clawed foot as part of the attack. The attack roll for the hit is used for the grapple check. While a creature is grappled in this manner, Rooster's Cleaver cannot be used to attack, as the weapon is engaged in maintaining the grapple.

Sunrise Edge. Once per day at dawn, when you first draw Rooster's Cleaver, you can empower your next attack with the freshness of a new day. This attack automatically deals the maximum possible damage.

Wake Up Call. You can use the Rooster's Cleaver to cast the alarm spell without needing material components or spell slots. You regain the ability to cast it after a long rest.
