Bishop's Cleaver

Weapon (handaxe), rare (requires attunement)

Infused with the methodical precision of cog-driven realms, this axe, bearing a blade that mirrors the elegant curves of a bishop, invokes ancient magics.

The axe has 5 charges and regains all expended charges daily at dawn. While you are attuned to the axe, you gain access to the following abilities:

Bishop's Gambit. When you throw the axe and the target is at least 10 feet away from you, you can state the command word and expend 1 charge as part of the attack. The axe then deals an additional 1d6 force damage to the target upon a hit.

Castling Maneuver. If you have executed the Bishop's Gambit, you have the option to spend an additional charge. As a bonus action, you can choose to rapidly move to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the axe's landing point. This swift relocation doesn't provoke opportunity attacks and doesn't count against your movement for the turn.
