🌌🔮📿 Pull up a chair, and let me share a thing or two.

In the heart of several bustling metropolises, amidst the clatter of blacksmiths and the chittering of magical contraptions, the Spheres of Overloads are held in high regard. Each sphere, meticulously crafted and fine-tuned, carries a unique resonance of its creator's intent. Within the vibrant community of artificers, these spheres aren't merely items; they're a testament to our ingenuity and prowess in harnessing raw magic.

Many of my fellow artificers strive to obtain one of these spheres, not just for its power but for the status it brings. To possess a Sphere of Overloads is to announce one's mastery and dedication to the craft. But mind you, they aren't toys! Those who wield them must do so with caution and respect.

I've seen many young artificers rush to tap into the sphere's potential, only to be left panting and drained by its recoil. It's a dance, you see? A delicate balance between harnessing the sphere's energy and being wary of its demands.

So, if you ever come across one of these marvelous spheres in your travels, treat it with the reverence it deserves. After all, it's not just an item; it's a piece of artificer history! 🌌🔮📿

Sphere of Overloads

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by an artificer)

It is adorned with glowing gemstones and pulsates with a raw and uncontrollable energy reminiscent of a tempestuous storm.

For each artificer spell of 1st level or higher you cast while holding or wearing the Sphere of Overloads, the sphere gains a charge. The sphere can hold a maximum of 3 charges.

When the sphere gains its 3rd charge, you feel a rush of arcane energy surge through you. Until the end of your turn, your movement speed increases by 20 feet. Additionally, as part of the same action used to cast the spell that granted the sphere its 3rd charge, you can cast another artificer spell of 1st level or higher without expending a spell slot.

After the surge of energy from the Overload Surge, the sphere's charges reset to zero.

Overloaded. On the turn immediately following your use of the charges, the expended energy takes its toll. Your movement speed is reduced by 20 feet, and you cannot use any bonus actions.
