So a bunch of Being Fiona stuff this week, I was going to add a bit of Heart Guardians too, but that spoiler is probably better released after a few more weeks of Heart Guardians plot develops.

Anyhow, a little while back I reached a part of the story where the speech bubbles were starting to get a bit messy regarding who was speaking. I've mostly solved the issue with adding colored speech bubbles to certain strips, but there is still some occasionally ambiguity.

I think my solution is to change all the bubbles in the comic to colored bubbles, but I'm trying to decide whether to stick with white color background bubbles, or really overhaul things and convert all the bubbles to solid color bubbles which I kind of like the look of more.

Thoughts?

After the speech bubble samples I have a few images of Felix trying on clothes, and I'm trying to have him rationalize picking the last outfit of a t-shirt, skirt, and tights. My current plan is for his women's jeans being too tight and uncomfortable, the yoga pants showing way too much, but if he adds a skirt, it nicely hides his butt. (And the only loose leg wear in his closet are two pairs of pajama pants, and he's not sure if Fiona would ever wear those to school like some people do).

Then there are two panels of Felix outside with Craig, wearing jackets, because halfway through the comic I decided that the story starts in late November near the end of the fall term.

Then I have three panels testing out how to censor Felix topless for the non-red strips. I think the black bars are my best bet, the blur kind of doesn't hide enough, but the melons are kind of fun, but maybe I should replace them with more cartoon-y watermelons?

Finally, just for fun, some images of Felix in the shower, because, why not?

So if I were to change the speech bubbles, white background...
...or solid color background?
Let me know which version you prefer...
...because I'm either going to leave things alone...
...or go through all 280+ comics I've written so far...
...and change them all to solid colors.
So the plan for Felix's outfit is that all the jeans in his closet are uncomfortable...
...he has way too many crop tops which are too short and yoga pants which show way too much...
...and what few t-shirts he has aren't long enough to hide the tights that leave very little to the imagination...
...but maybe adding a skirt works? He wasn't planning on wearing a skirt, but he also didn't expect to be a girl, so go with the flow?
Felix is also going to have to pick the skirt, because I've posed and drawn too many panels with him wearing it.
And the look seems to work well for him.
Censoring time! Black bars?
Blurred pixels?
Or watermelons? What do you like most?
Of course, that censoring is irrelevant for the red strips!
Felix is going to go through so much shampoo!
And the shampoo and conditioner aren't even in the same bottle!

I think the fully colored speech bubbles are too busy and distract from the other art in the panels. White background is best. Maybe a thicker border for the speech or thought bubbles.
