When Clarke confronted Murphy last episode, she never expected a lynch mob because she's so focused on the greater good. It wouldn't occur to her because she doesn't think that way. Lesson mostly learned, I think. I actually like that she's so driven. In this episode, it was more about blaming herself.... letting herself get distracted by a 'normal' thing, like being with Finn.... for taking her eye off the ball. At this point, she reminds me of a fixer like Jack Shephard.

you also know she was gonna tell everyone due to her and her dads plan to tell the ark about the air supply issue she was right on board with her logic being people would do the right thing, however here she forgets that they are all a bunch of teenage felons with no real authority

That is what I love about The 100...You think it is just some sci-fi drama about some beautiful young people...but it is so much more. The storylines definitely get dark sometimes, with real moral dilemmas. Some of their decisions are not the popular decision....sometimes you will disagree with these characters. A very 'grey' tv show, making them constantly consider what 'is right' vs. what will 'help us survive'. Love it!

Exactly. I always say that one of the main themes is 'the cost of survival'. It's messy, conflicting, burdensome, harsh, etc...

this is the episode the turns the whole show around. its where we go from just another teen cw drama to a real show with situations. there are not many shows where they would kill 300 people and not back off from it like we did here. . big guts to make that decision. this episode was the episode that saved this show for most people,myself included.

I've really tried giving this another go, but I just can't. The acting is really poor, as is the writing. It's very teen drama-ish.

True, at this point, it's still a very 'CW' show. But it becomes much, much better over time. S2 is really a game changer. Looking back at S1 (and maybe even very early S2) from, say S4 or S5 or S6, you'd hardly believe it.

I'm a little bit with josephthealmighty above me. I'm not loving this show. I think it has wrung me in enough with the interesting story line, but it's still so cheesy with writing, costumes, situations, budget. I don't think that I can love this show. However, this episode did have a shift where it got a bit darker and I could see some potential so I will keep watching. No promises that I'll love it but I figure it deserves a decent chance. I don't think it will ever, ever hold a place in my watching history on par with the walking dead or anything else close to that but it could be entertaining.

When this show is in later S2, S3, S4, etc... it's so far beyond what it is here. Not perfect, but really good. Even as a huge fan, I find early S1 almost unrecognizable to later on... and a bit of a slog. But stick with it, you just may end up loving it like so many of us do. Personally, I prefer a show that greatly improves over time... than a show that has an amazing 1st season, then goes down hill.

This show really do a 360 lol. You couldn't even imagine how crazy this gets. I remember saying the same about the acting, but the actors start believing in the show or something because they get way better. Stick with it
