Ant Man and the Wasp 2018 FULL REACTION

Comments

Real world context going into Captain Marvel (not a spoiler) - Stan Lee passed away just before the movie came out.

I see a lot of criticism for this movie having to do with fans comparing the villain from the first as much better than in this one. And while yeah he was a through and through bad guy, the “antagonists” of this movie being Ghost and even Agent Wu were just more likable as characters in general. The best written villains are those who you can understand and empathize with the POV of. Yeah Ava was never a legit bad guy but she portrayed a cool concept of an antagonist for the movie’s plot and at the end of the day she’s a really unique, interesting, and pitiful character. Loved your reaction, as usual. Luis and his fell XCON boys are amazing and your reaction to the mid credit scene was exactly how I pictured it would be.

The "cute" creatures with michael Douglas looking for Janet I believe are real creature called Tardigrades or water bears https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/invertebrates/facts/tardigrades-water-bears

Your reaction to the mid-credit scene alone was worth staying up a couple of hours later, and the rest of your reaction was a joy to watch as always. I love the Ant-Man & Wasp movies, personally I prefer them over the Guardians movies. Sorry Trin. There is just something so wholesome and fun about The Ant Squad. I also love the uniqueness of the Ant-Man movies and the interesting possibilities and science stuff that is theorized and suggested in the Ant-Man movies. The placement of both movies is perfect. The first Ant-Man came out in between Age of Ultron & Civil War. Two very heavy and critical movies in the overarching story of the MCU. Then comes Ant-Man, a fun, light hearted, story about family and second chances. With a dash of gruesome and horrific deaths. Frank as the tiny pile of goo 🤢😱 Following the formula, we get Ant-Man & The Wasp, a bubbly, carefree glimpse into the microscopic side of the MCU to help us forget about Thanos. This fun ride is sandwiched between the devastation of Infinity War and the unknown future that the Endgame will bring. But, no time to think about that, focus on how we saved Janet, and helped Ava, XCoNN get clients, Scott is free, all is good, and…Ant-Man & The Wasp will return?

Maybe you guys have already answered this, I am still somewhat new here, but do you plan on continuing in the MCU after Endgame? And or diving into other Marvel based movies and shows? Like the Fox X-Men movies that happen in the same universe as the Deadpool movies? Or more movies in the Spider side of Marvel with Venom and Into the Spider-Verse? or the “Netflix” shows? Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc…

An absolute pleasure to watch this show. I saw Antman in the theaters way back then, but wasn't able to catch this one at the theaters. As I stated before I started nursing school, I caught saw the the Hulk, Ironman 1-3 and Thor, and Age of Ultron in the theaters as I had friends in Dallas who are a few years older than me and were way into the comics when they were young. Me, I was into Star Wars, as that was what was popular in my formative years. The only superheroes I saw were DCU, like Christopher Reeves as Superman, and some of the early batman movies. So the few MCU movies I saw were because of my friends, and they were able to answer my questions about what was going on. After that, during Nursing school, I had little time for niceties so, I believe I caught Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2, but it didn't register at the time they were MCU movies, to me they were just good, fun movies. I am with you Rob and Trin, I am glad we are on this journey together! I am having a great time!

I don't know why so many people don't like the Ant-Man movies, I think they're great and the humour feels very natural, and I usually don't like comedies so I think it says a lot! Anyway I hope you'll keep having fun with Marvel stuff, from phase 4 some don't like it because it's always "the same", and others don't like it because "they changed everything", so the only thing I can say to you is don't do like other reactors who stop after Endgame, you're smart and have your own minds, make your own opinions and give it a chance 😊 As for the tardigrades, the cute/gross creature floating around, they are fascinating animals that we are just starting to understand, you should go have a look and read a little about them, they are incredible!

Which reactors stopped after endgame? I didn't know that. That sucks, especially as someone who has actually loved all of the MCU. I'm looking forward to a lot of Phase 4 reactions.

Superdork3k

nah that scene where jimmy said "ill be seeing you again" was the funniest part of the whole movie such a simple joke but was perfect

Hi guys, Fear 4x01 drop today?

Bassorelli Chiara

I have a whole new appreciation for this movie re-watching it with you. I think after seeing the masterpiece of Infinity War, Ant Man and The Wasp did not hit the spot for me but watching it with you now I was laughing all the way through and honestly I loved it. Like you said it was SO FUN!

angie808

Luis recapping the whole movie would be so great. I'd watch it. LOL! I love the Ant Man series too. I don't understand why it gets bad reviews.

ln_wanderbooks

I don't remember their names but it happened a few times. The MCU is like everything else: it's up to personal preference. So following other's opinion without making your own sounds weird to me. Edit: Diegesis is one of them, White Noise is another.

I had that thought as well when Rob commented on how much he liked Coulson during the Avengers reaction. That show was a lot of fun.

The build up to endgame was agony. Half of everyone dying in infinity war. Then these little reminders of Thanos winning.
