Most people don't trust Demigure when they first see him is the glasses, plus anime condictions you to not trust a well dressed character that is smart with glasses, but he is absolutely loyal to Ainz. btw Martial arts are pure physical skills, magic is based on element, i think that ainz is the only death caster so far that we see, i also looked up the other guardians there is just one we don't see, she is Ainz's personal bodyguard and is a demon in terms of skill and she has children, the other is a maid that guards his staff.

Side story - My brother and I are adults. If there's anything we want, we buy it ourselves. So we agreed a few years ago to stop buying each other presents for b'day and xmas (we're both childfree, so no nephews or nieces either) and instead gift our time to each other. The equivalent of 8 hours per holiday. Whoever's b'day it is, they get to choose the activity. For example, I'm not a golfer, but if my bro wanted to have a day on the green, I would accompany as it's his choice. And around xmas we each get a day to decide on things. It's just a way to ensure we keep in contact/hang out even though we're both busy. Ok, so, that's the set up here. Due to COVID and living in Melbourne (city with the longest lockdown), the past few years our 'gifts' were spent at home making the other watching anime/shows/movies they wouldn't otherwise watch. My brother- his FAVOURITE type of anime is the Isekai genre (person getting stuck in an alternative world), and thus he made me watch 26 episodes of Overlord (approx 8 hours' of watching). While I did enjoy the anime, I will admit it was one I watched against my will and did not seek it out myself. For one, Isekai isn't my cup of tea. I don't mind some, but I do find the genre to be flooded atm, so it has to be an AMAZING set up for me to want to watch it. Secondly, this story, while engaging, is slow. There's a lot of trial and error, testing various scenarios, world-building, politics and community interaction. If it wasn't for my brother forcing me to watch this, I would have given up on Overlord a long time ago. This isn't me telling you to stop watching, just trying to give you a realistic expectation of what it's going to be like should you choose to continue watching it. It's not as fast paced as AOT, but on the positive that means it won't leave you as aggravated when the TBC screen comes up. Potentially, if you wanted a new anime to check out that has both the slow character-development moments as well as regular action and AMAZING animation, I'd recommend Demon Slayer or Tokyo Ghoul. Regardless, I shall keep watching. (sorry for the essay)

If you do keep watching, can't wait for you to get up to/react to the oddest sex scene I've ever witnessed
