Moin Gaz ;) really great reaction to this extreme dark episode. I think its the darkest one. Now we know the full truth about whats going on in St.Magnolia. First the squad tells Lena about it. Later her friend tells about her guilt and kicks her out with the words "I hate you, Lena. Never come back again." At last her uncle tells the truth about the government's and military's position. I can fully understand how you feel about all that. I still feel that way when I see this episode, even after seeing it the forth time now it still hurts. CYA ;)

To be fair, a child that young doesn't really have the concept of standing up for what you believe in. Annette in the modern day is one thing, but people like to expect the child version of her to have adult sensibilities. I think it actually does a good job of showing how children can pseudo-brainwash themselves into a thought process.
