EDWARD: Before I get to today's question, I must address an issue that keeps coming into my inbox: anything to do with the word Monarch. I continue to receive messages referring to it, demanding to know what significance it holds and why it recurred in the riddling process. The answer is none, and it did not. The first riddle was a clock with Monarch butterfly wings - it was obviously pointing to the Clock King! That one was supposed to be EASY. It was the bright notion of you out there that this referred to the Monarch Theatre, where Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered. What the devil does that have to do with ME? Next to which, the clue said FIND ME, not GO THERE. Remember what I said about bending the facts to fit your own narrative? Feh. Also, I know about the Monarch Card Playing Company. If you have a memory longer than five minutes, you will recall that this was NOT MY RIDDLE. The Monarch red herring was your own creation; I request that you keep your inadequacies to yourself, for it has nothing to do with me.

Now - anonymous asks: How would you kill Superman? Well. The short answer is that I wouldn't. I mean, are you insane? Next to my having no reason to so much as attempt it, I would be blown into the stratosphere should I more than likely fail. Who even knows what the extent of his powers are? He could be dealing with his mail right now while listening to me recording. just because he can.  I make riddles - I know my limitations. Off the top of my head, I suppose there's the quick and nasty solution of a kryptonite dagger right to the heart, but that sounds like the kind of foolhardy recklessness that the Joker would attempt. I doubt even he would consider going after Superman, since he prefers to play with Batman like a kitten menacing a capybara.

Permit me to elucidate further. There is a class of hero in Gotham, and another class of hero in Metropolis. The Bat sits at the top of the hero pile here, and Superman dominates the heroes of Metropolis. There is a reason that rogues like myself stay here in Gotham. As it is with the heroes, so it goes with the villains. The class of villain is quite separate. We would much rather contend with the Bat than Superman. Thank goodness they do not job share, or the crime of Gotham would be wiped out in seconds and that would be the end of all the fun. Here in Gotham we are at least in with a chance with the Bat, while the villains of Metropolis must work harder to even try to step to the Big Blue Wonder. So basically no, I wouldn't. That does not mean I had not devised several hypothetical options to do it while I was talking, but I'm not telling YOU what they could be.
