'Gameboys Level-Up Edition' is on Netflix, and it's such an amazing BL show from the Philippines. Hope you add it to your list!

If you guys do want to see more of Isak and Even being out and comfortable in public, they get a lot of screentime in season 4! Sana is the main character but they both play an important part in the season too. Also the girl he was apologizing to at the end was the main character in a previous season of the show. So it was meant to bring a bit of closure to a plot from a previous season.

Yay! … please react to the 2017 Gulrutten awards. Norwegian television of industry award show. There is a … special moment between Henrik Holm and tarjei sandvik moe. Very heartwarming. 🥰 thanks for amazing reactions to the whole series guys! It’s very special, and so are you.

Even if you don’t do a reaction to it, still highly recommend watching season 4 of Skam. Sana is an amazing character and there’s some really interesting Even backstory as well. There’s a karaoke scene that I know you’ll just love!

Nui Tammakoon

I love that you love the ending😊 I do prefer it this way too😊 Lots of people also wonder about what Isak said and doubt their future, but one has to see S4 to know how wonderful their love life is😊 Even did actually bring Isak to meet his parents though( as in the SKAM book Season 3.😊 Thanks for your reaction and journey 😊❤️

CC

I really enjoyed following you on this journey, I must’ve seen Skam tens of times by now but always take sth new from it. I’m so happy to know you enjoyed it as much as I did my first time back when this aired. Very much loved your insight and empathy and thoughtful comments. <3

Marstrand

Thanks for your reactions 😃. I really liked this show when it aired the first time, and still do. Here is a video that the show released just after this season ended. It is Evens birthday video to Isak 😍. Cute! https://youtu.be/L8ypu3Vi23g

I think it was after s4 but it doesn’t spoil anything for it though.

thanks you for letting us experience your journey with you! 💕

Because you asked, horses sleep both standing up and laying down. Mostly if they’re standing it’s more of a nap than truly sleeping, REM sleep only happens when they are laying down. And no, they don’t only sleep with half their brains at a time, the reason they can stay up right is called “passive stay apparatus”, basically their joints lock up allowing them to stand with little to no effort.

Even if it’s for patreon only, I wish they would share their viewing of the bday vid. It’s so precious!

What I love so much about this episode is the transition from passionate to tender. Isak is so gentle with Even in the early days after his episode, from the kiss outside E9, to "let's play a game". There's no pressure, it's just "let's just chill and see how this pans out". He doesn't try to control Even, or force anything. And when Even 'fesses up to having joined the "kose-gruppe" just to get to know Isak, that he'd seen him on day-1, my heart sang! Isak's friends mucking in to take care of Even was too sweet for words, even Linn! To see them happy together, joking, chilling with the friend group, oh! Just oh! It's as much about Isak learning to love himself as it is about him loving Even. Even's reaction to the party is very relatable too. He's been wrapped up and protected by a very small group of people who know his story. The idea of facing a lot of people after a breakdown like that is terrifying. You'd much rather stay in your cosy bubble, but it's important to move back to normality, and Even is still among friends. The chat with Eva won't mean much if you haven't watched S1&2, but was lovely. And can we have a shout out for Vilde & Mags, who are just made for each other! Please do season 4! Pretty please! With sprinkles on...🙏🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

There's a scene in the final episode of SKAM Season 4 labeled "Even." If you feel like doing a fun little Patreon bonus vid, that would be a perfect gift. It shows their relationship several months on, and deals with the idea of imbalance you were rightly worried about (where Isak is a caregiver) in a really interesting way. It would be the cherry on top of your review of this show. Love you guys!!

This was absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing both Even and Isak be so relaxed and smiling. In my opinion, I think after the scare after Even’s Manic episode, Isak certainly stepped up his game and realized how much he cared about Even. I truly believe that he discovered his Self Worth as well. What a fabulous ending!

Sara Nissen

Yes Sonja redeemed herself with being understanding and giving such good advice from experience. And yes Isak has had some major growth and don't force anything on Even. Isak and Even is perfect for each other; help each through stuff, have a way of really getting each other, even if it's hard for Isak at first to understand Even being bipolar, and they make each other genuinly happy. I also love Eskild and Lynns friendship, and how they check in on Even and Even interacting with Isaks friends, it's so sweet. Magnus and Vilde fit so good together in their own sweet but weird way. The guy Eva was with by the tree is called Chris, Just like their friend with the star on her head, he is just often refered to as Penetrator Chris, because in previous seasons he was seen as a player. I love Isak and Evas conversation to wrap things up for the season and to mend things between them, because they went from being close (partly due to her dating Jonas in the first season) to not really talking in this season, which is kinda sad, but he was lying to her, that he had feelings for her, to explain why he acted a bit weird, when in season 1 he actually had feelings for Jonas. And it's nice he can talk to her again about his life, and that he don't want to be fake, and life can't always be happy; take the good with the bad, but that he has a boyfriend and he is happier now being his true self.

This last episode of the season is amazing, it's realistic, poignant and really does show Isaks growth. And his ability to love himself and whatever this journey with even might be. His development (albeit small cameos) in season 4 is also amazing to see. Actually watched this show by watching season 3 first, then I loved Isak so much I went back to watch it all. It's a great show (season 2 weakest) but the season 4 finale is perfection, beautiful, showstopping, amazing, eloquent. And this OG Norway is by far, the best version of the show, it's so impressive, nearly every European country made their own version!

[wanted to contrast these 2 speeches about a fake vs authentic life] SKAM Norway, Season 3, Episode 9 ================================ Isak: But I'm also really happy that I met him... Eva: Because that's what made you certain you like guys? Isak: It's more like because... I lived a fake life before. I was just laying at home watching Narcos and gaming, and stuff. I'm done with that. Now I want my life to be real. Even though it means it might be fucking terrible at times, it's way better than a fake and boring life. Eva: Well said. Young Royals, Season 1, Episode 4 ================================= Simon: Hello? Wille: Simon. Simon: Hello. Who is this? Wille: I really like you. Simon: Wille, is that you? Wille: Yeah. I've found it out. You see, everything is just fake. It's all fake. Everything in the world is fake. That's just how it is. The grass on the soccer field is not actual grass. Simon: Wille. Wille: It's just plastic! I mean, it's really bright, even though it's the middle of the night. It's night, I know that much. But why is it so bright? Simon: You're on the soccer field. Wille: Exactly. None of the people are real. They're just pieces of metal. But I really like you. And that is not fake.

That scene, and the one later, at the party, show how they compliment each other, make each other whole, yin & yang. I loved it!

Gimsan

In one of the earlier episodes this season Vilde asks Isak to host a Kosegruppa party and he gets very embarrassed when his friends find out. In this episode he hosts the party proudly. It's so nice to see him be able to be himself, both on his own and in his relationship with Even. It really is a great way to end the season. Still hoping you'll give us something more from Skam og 😉😊, but thank you for your reactions to this season!

Stephen Young

So for some context for that beautiful conversation between Isak and Eva in the last scene: the main characters of SKAM before this season started were the 5 girls who were sitting around the table decorating (Eva, Noora, Vilde, Sana, and Cris) and they (mostly) took the backseat this season while the boys got to shine. Isak was a somewhat important figure in the first season (Eva's season) and he had some key moments between Eva and Jonas (who were dating at the time). This conversation was overdue and was necessary bridge building after being kinda miserable and grumpy for 2 seasons. Y'all really should watch the whole series of OG SKAM even if it's just on y'all's own. It's really good and all the seasons have as much love and thought poured into them as this one!

Mariah Daley

Someone should make a video clipping together all of the Isak/Even story line from season 4. As someone who loves this show, it feels almost blasphemous to suggest such a thing, but I know there are people who only watch for this story line, and it’s kind of sad that they miss out on so much of it. The characters continue to develop and grow next season, as does their relationship. Of course, the best way to experience the show is from the beginning, and all the way through

Suze

That was so lovely! Thanks for sharing the link

annanas

A little detail that I really like is how in the last episode Magnus was the one who made Isak reinterpret his situation which eventually led to him "rescuing" Even (like Even predicted he would.. it's a Pretty Woman reference remember :) And now Even repays him by giving the best advice about Vilde.. <3 I think the writing is perfect!

annanas

And, I know a lot of people have said already, but I really hope Alex&Josh watch season 4 too (if not here, do it on your own).. to see Isak and Evens relationship develop, as well as Isak and Sanas friendship.. and as for the dialogue, it's almost even sharper in S4! The last ep always leave me sobbing. I truly felt the first time I watched this show that it changed me a little bit.. all seasons handle very real issues that most people can relate to on some level, and in such an authentic manner.. it's educational but in the most down to earth way (I heard it's even been used in schools..).

Kim Engel

Sounds like Skam France is up next! The actors are gorgeous and very talented, I’m looking forward to it 💜

xbujorx

i thought it was really unrealistic, that she wouldn't know how to peel carrots lol!

Thanks for your reactions to this season, guys. I love your responses to what you’re watching, even though I am not necessarily a fan of the show itself, as well as your friendship, insight and humour. I think most people who see my comments already know that I am a Young Royals fan and I find that show resonates far more with me than anything else I have watched for a long time. I first started watching you guys ages ago on YouTube when you were reacting to season 1 of Heartstopper and subscribed to your Patreon on the back of that, so I am eagerly awaiting your reactions to season 2 in August. Love from Cornwall, although I am actually on holiday in Greece at the moment, struggling with eccentric and unreliable Wi-fi. 😎❤️

Curtis Weeks

Skam France is eye candy but otherwise an almost exact duplicate, beat for beat, of the OG Skam. A couple changes actually reduce it in my view. I'd prefer you went with Druck or wtFOCK, which you needed as options on your poll. Heck, I'd even prefer a reaction to the full season 4 of the OG Skam, with Sana. Isak and Even appear in it quite a bit, especially Isak, and it's great to see how their relationship has developed beyond the third season.

Kim Engel

I agree, but also feels like what’s done is done at this point, and we might as well go with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

xbujorx

i agree 100% although i don't find skam fr to even be eye candy... i have no interest in it whatsoever. to each their own obviously, but to me it's what we just don't really need any more of. i just hope druck reactions will be coming too at some point, cause that's a truly great show that did important things for representation AND is just so well made with lots of really awesome queer people and people of color and just diversity and complexity in it in general, which made the storytelling pretty magical (to me)

Curtis Weeks

I think Michelangelo Fortuzzi, who plays Matteo in Druck, may have created the best other "Isak" of all the adaptations, with the possible exception of Willem Herbots, who played Robbe in wtFOCK. Nothing against the actor from Skam France, who does fine, but these other two really sold it for me. Matteo from Druck continues to stand out in my memory, unlike a lot of other characters from other Skam adaptations.

xbujorx

i like Matteo for sure, s3 of Druck is so outstanding because of both the Isak and Even characters, Lukas also does such a good job as David, and both Matteo and David are so loveable and interesting and complex and realistic! i just think other than OG Skam, Druck is the one that captures one of the best things about Skam in my opinion - the life-like feel, the lack of melodrama and overacting that are just so common in basically everything we watch, even "reality shows", and that we've gotten so used to... but i think to our detriment sometimes because there's other ways of acting, of telling and consuming stories, which go way deeper... and that's another reason i'm personally not into Skam France (and most other remakes) which are just meh, the same old same old as far as acting and storytelling really... but Druck has managed to capture the realness and the magic of the OG while not actually copying the norwegian Skam at all and just being an excellent and interesting show in its own right. my favorite Druck season is s6 (with my favorite characters Fatou and Kieu My), closely followed by s3 and s7 - i LOVE s7 actually, so much, especially the Isi character!! it's so great to see complex beautiful stories centered around queer girls and nonbinary people, and who for once are non-white, and aaaalll those other important pieces and nuances of those characters! i would love to see Alex and Josh react to Druck s6 and s7 specifically, and of course s3, i think it's a lot of territory they haven't covered before (it's also territory that HASN'T quite been covered before).

Curtis Weeks

Isi's story was very interesting for me, but it was a slow burn compared to some others. At least it seemed that way to me. Much more of a "slice of life" approach. I liked it quite a bit, although I'm not sure I'd call it very exciting.

xbujorx

yeah, totally, BUT if you give it a chance and are curious about Isi it's such a good story in the end, with many other interesting (good and/or frustrating) characters around them and many scenes that are real gems so it's still fun to watch - even if it's not conventionally "exciting". well to me personally it was actually exciting (especially the gender expression stuff and the window into the Turkish family and specific religious background) and i also thought it was particularly realistic and nuanced - and pretty unique - in its portrayal of navigating friendships and crushes in your teens, especially for someone also exploring their gender queerness. i also loved the portrayal of non-toxic masculinity. and it was my introduction to Fatou and Kieu My! :) i found out that people in the Skam/Druck fandom had issues with this season and it sounds like a lot of it was legitimate, but for me, watching it fairly recently without set expectations and a lot of other context, it was a revelation (i knew about s3 and had seen parts of that and liked it well enough but i was still reluctant to watch the show... and then i randomly decided to see s7 and because i liked it so much i went back and watched the whole thing!). with s7 i feel like it's partly the same issue i was talking about, a lot of people were disappointed by it because it didn't have the same pace/structure as other seasons - for instance that there was no "hell week" - and that's just such a preconceived thing... again, there's lots of different ways to tell stories and lots of OTHER stories that are valuable and fun to watch.

Mads

I just watched druck and he plays such an interesting "Isak". I disliked how they kept some scenes from OG, as they didn't fit well because of how far this season strayed from OG storyline, but him playing a super depressed isolated sad quiet never smile boy, to a happier more himself boy throughout episodes was something special unlike the other versions I've seen. He actually blossoms and is practically unrecognizable from episode 1 to episode 10 purely in his demeanor.
