MY ANSWER: 

Future! Even though I feel like the world would be incredibly dire and probably not very habitable...I am still very curious about what life for humanity would be like! Also, something to consider for people choosing past....imagine the SMELL of travelling back to the past. Overcrowded cities with unwashed citizens roaming around, throwing their waste into the streets....no thank you!

Misread the question as *fifty* years either way so I voted the past. Seventies would be tolerable, imo Changed answer after I reread it and realized I wouldn’t last an hour in 1522

I don't really want either of these... If I really had to pick, future because the past sucked ass. Honestly, rather travel back to when I was younger and give myself lottery ticket numbers.
