This ep marks the 4 yr anniversary of when i began listening to this show. When I first started this podcast I was in college, now I've graduated and had a job for several years. It immediately became one of my favorite podcasts due the fantastic research and passion you've invested into it. And the quality of this show is even better now than when it started. I've relistened to every ep multiple times. I dont know exactly how but you've consistently made episodes that are incredibly interesting and entertaining every time, all bangers. It's a staple of my life now, and i want you to know I'm externally grateful for that. Thanks so much.

Love this one! The 1807 campaign has always been my "favorite" of Bonaparte's interesting career (followed by 1813) and you've done a masterful job with your coverage and analysis. I know I'll return to these again and again. It's helpful to remember, I think, the courage and tenacity of the Russian soldier. Honored to be a supporter - you do such great work.

Why do you say Grouchy was made a Marshal? That didnt happen until 1815.

The story of Lannes and Napoleon, becoming friends in their 20s, and around 10 years later are still out there in the snow and mud for each other, is very bro

The storytelling in this episode is excellent! I think Bennigsen wasn't foolish to try to destroy the isolated core, but rather it speaks to the skill and tenacity of Lannes and the reinforcements that made a French victory. Great stuff.
