Side-Project Reveal (Patreon)

Hello everybody,

Some time back I told you about the side-project I had for a friend of mine.
Now the time has come I can finally share it!

The house visible on the screenshots above is my friend's house in real life, but then created in The Sims 4 by myself.  The reason he asked me to help him, is because he wanted to make a proposal to his girlfriend IN The Sims 4! As he doesn't play The Sims himself, he asked me to help him, so I did!

If you're wondering why he used The Sims 4, his girlfriend plays it A LOT and because of the lockdown in The Netherlands, other possible locations to ask her were very limited.

Now with only creating their house in game, I wasn't finished yet, as the actual proposal had to be done in-game too. His idea was to do something like hearts on the bed and then ask her in some way, but as we didn't knew where she would start her own house tour, I came up with a safer (and more fun) idea.

I told him to record an audio message with his proposal and asked him what music ment something special for both of them.  He told me this song was Flogging Molly - Crushed.
What I then did, was editting an audio file that would start with that song, suddenly would stop with a record scratch sound, add a poetic background music and finish it off with his proposal. This audio message could only be heard by listening to the in-game romance channel on the radio. I've made sure every other song on this channel wouldn't be played, so she couldn't miss it either.

Long story short: she said YES!
Due to COVID19 though, I'm not invited to their wedding😅, but it was a very fun project to be part of.

Now to make it possible to make the house in-game to look as their real-life house, I had to make a few small mods, which I will be sharing in Part 2.
My idea was to work a bit more on a few of those mods, so I can share them with the entire Sims community too. But more about what kind of mods those are in Part 2!
I will then also share some more screenshots from the inside of the house.
