i've been a fan of 5sos for 9 years now and never watched this interview, only heard 'myths' of it (joke lol). But wow, it was very uncomfortable...I instantly knew they were not comfortable (since i've seen many, many videos of them) and sadly, i notice this happens a lot with them when they're with female interviewers, which is sad. I guess cause 5sos were perceived as a 'punk' type of band, maybe interviewers figured they would be wilder? But this is not the first time I've seen a female interviewer kind of push herself on them and be crazy with them. Many flirt with them, despite a lot of the times they had girlfriends during the time of the interviews. (also the gf michael mentioned is now his fiancee! I'm so happy for him.) I wonder if maybe she flirted with them beforehand or said something that made them uncomfortable before the interview started...cause they were very disinterested and almost on guard right away. But uh, i think the awkwardness like i implied earlier is that they (at least Michael, Luke and Ashton) have girlfriends. Calum may have been dating someone too, he's more private about his dating life, but despite that, Calum is very unamused by things like that tbh. And I don't blame him. I also would just be weirded out of someone stripped randomly and then tried to take my top off too.
