Welcome to another episode of  'Statements' – exclusively for you guys here on Patreon.

In each episode I'll be joined by a guest who will let me know if they Strongly Agree - Agree - Disagree - or Strongly Disagree with statements I put to them.

Elliot Smith @YankeeGunner is with me for this one as we chat about things like:

  • Willian being a successful signing
  • Signing Dani Ceballos on a permanent basis
  • Olivier Giroud
  • Edu being good at his job
  • Immediate judgements impacting our enjoyment of football
  • William Saliba
  • Signing players over the age of 24
  • Achieving Champions League football via our league position this season
  • Bukayo Saka
  • Gabriel Martinelli
  • And lots more

Thanks to everyone who sent in their statements, there were loads to get through and I think we found a nice mix to have a good conversation.

Until the next one!

How many FA Cups has Rob Holding started and won? Every position doesnt need to be elite to win as long as they can do their job.

Why does every member of the Arsenal Vision Podcast sound so much more intelligent when speaking with Andrew? This is the most I’ve ever enjoyed YG and that is not an insult

Yeah, you have to have a squad. I tend to disagree with Elliot on this one. I'd extend Holding, gives you more time, and the 'asset' remains protected.

Brilliant! Now how am I gonna get to sleep?!? Lol

Love the crossover eps with AV (esp Clive but YG too). Thanks Andrew

Emo aside, YG’s last question and his own reply nailed it. Thoroughly enjoyed this thanks.

I agree with the chorus, this was great fun. A yank by the name of Elliot has decent insight! I love it!

The topic of Balogun never came up, but I would ask, given the current situation in which we have older strikers, we have super talented kids showing their mettle, we’re not likely to break top 6, Balogun is poised for a new contract, and he appears to be a talent that could slot in nicely with Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Tierney, & Willock, should he not be given significant minutes, even despite Lacazette’s benefitting from these same young players? He appears to bring a lot of qualities to the position that the 30 year olds don’t possess, plus, if it pans out we have a striker for the future.
