How about some CCR? "Bad Moon Rising" or "Have You Ever Seen the Rain"? Also my fallback suggestions of Doors or "Eve of Destruction", though I've gotten the sense that if you were interested in those you would have already done them, which is fine! :)

seconding CCR, Frank Turner has a lot of songs that'd work like "Next Storm" and "I Still Believe" I also think your twangy voice would work well with a song I did, "Radio Days Pt. 1"
