Fifteen-year-old James Callahan held the magic lamp over the river. He had used the lamp to swap lives with his sexy next-door neighbor, Joan Staley.  He was now a blond with the best legs he had ever seen.

Joan didn't know what or why she was a teenage boy. She kept insisting on who she really was. No one believed her. The last James heard of her was that she was in a mental hospital. They put her on any psychotic drugs and were watching her closely.

If James threw the lamp into the river, he knew it would never be found.  he could never return to his own life. There was only one last moment of doubt before he threw it as hard as he could.  There was no turning back for him.
