Chapter 21.

When they returned, Steve's mother was already home.

“Where have you been?” Steve's mother asked.

“Oh, just a little bike riding.  I guess we lost track of time.”

Steve's mother should have suspected something was wrong by the generally disheveled appearance of Steve and Fiona.   She didn't say anything though.

Fiona returned to Tina's house.   Steve went to his room.   He hadn't had such a fun day with an adult in a long time, if not ever.

When Fiona entered Tina's house, “Take a shower,” she demanded.

“Later.”

“No, now!”

Fiona complied and took a shower.   When she was done, dinner was on the table.   The relationship between Fiona and Tina was shifting.  Tina was becoming an authority figure to Fiona.

Fiona ate most of the meat and a little of the potatoes, but the green beans were barely touched.

“Where are you going?”

“I'm done.”

“What about your beans.”

“I don't want any.”

“You have to eat your vegetables.”

“I don't want to.”

“If you are staying here, you have to do what I say.”

“No, I don't.  I can go back to my house.”

“Then you won't see Ethan anymore.  I know he wants to see you.  I won't let you babysit for Steve either.”

“You can't do that!”

“I got you that job.  I can take it away!”

Fiona stared at Tina for a moment.  Tina stared back.  It was a test of the wills.

Fiona had been having so much fun with Steve that she didn't want it to stop.  She also wanted to see Ethan, but that was different.  She didn't see Ethan that much anyway.  She would miss him in a few weeks, but Steve was different.  She saw Steve all the time.

Fiona had to give in.  She took her folk and jabbed at the beans.  Then she brought them to her mouth and made a big show of eating them.

When Fiona was finished, she left the table and went to her room.  She took out some of her toys and started to play with them.  Fiona imagined that the villain was Tina in her play.

Fiona stopped driving to Steve's house or any of the other boys she was babysitting for.  She took her bike to get there instead.  Her clothes when she was in boy's mode and woman's mode were quite similar.  It was mostly t-shirts, with jeans, sneakers, and athletic socks.  When she was supposed to be a woman, she used foundation to cover up her freckles and wore her wig under a baseball cap.  She also referred to herself as Frankie (technically, it was Franki when she was supposed to be a woman) most of the time too.  When she was a boy, there wouldn't be any makeup at all, and she didn't wear her wig.  Sometimes she wore a cap and sometimes she didn't.

The biggest difference between the two modes was that she wore a bra when she was in woman mode and she wore the binder when she was in boy mode.

Chapter 22.

“Steve let's ride our bikes to the park today,” Franki announced.

“OK.”

The pair had fun playing in the park together.  From a distance, it looked like two boys playing.  Closer up, Fiona looked more like a woman.

“Franki, can I tell you a secret?”

“Yeah.”

“You know I told you that the bike you rode that day was my mother's?”

“Yeah.”

“That wasn't really true.  It's really my father's.”

“So, what's the big deal.”

“OK, here is the big secret.  You can't tell anyone.”

“Okay.”

“Swear.”

“I promise I won't tell anyone.”

“After my parents got divorced, they called me into the living room to tell me something.”

“Uh, hmm.”

“My father said that he didn't like being a man anymore and that he was going to start wearing mom's clothes.”

“What?”

“You heard me.  He said that from that time on, he wouldn't be my dad anymore and that I should call him mom from now on.  So that was his bike, but he is my mom now.”

“Your dad is your mom?”

“Right.”

“After he told me, he went into the bedroom and changed into mom's clothes.  He put on his mom's makeup and started to act like a mom.  He wasn't that convincing at first.  But now you can't tell.”

“I don't believe it.”

“It's true and you can't tell anyone.  They would all laugh at me.”

Fiona knew how boys were.  Steve was right.  She felt closer to him now that he had told her and only her his secret.  Fiona considered telling him her secret but decided against it.

“Does anyone else know?”

“No, no one.  They all think he is my mom.”

“What happened to your real mom?  Is she your dad now?”

“No, nothing like that.  I don't see her often.  I sort of understand I guess.  I mean with dad wearing her clothes.”

What Steve didn't know was that his 'real' mom was supporting the family.  She was a stripper and part-time prostitute at a local strip club.  The changes in the family dynamic were all due to Dr.  Morris.

While Fiona was babysitting for Steve, his mother who used to be his father was spending time with men.  That was about to change.  Steve's 'mom' finally found a man to settle down with.  When that man was brought into the home, they wouldn't need a babysitter for Steve.

Chapter 23.

With every session with Dr.  Morris, more and more of Fiona's maturity and femininity were fading away.  Tina knew where Fiona was at all times, just as was common with any preteen boy.  She permanently stopped wearing her wig and wearing makeup to cover her freckles.  All adult pursuits disinterested her.  She wasn't called Fiona by anyone; she was known only as Frankie.

“It's time to return to school,” Dr.  Morris informed Frankie.

“I don't want to go.”

“You won't be going to the same school as before.  You'll have a fresh start.”

An entire faux memory had been placed in Fiona's mind.  In this, she had gotten into a fight with her best friend Steve.  Things got out of hand and 'Frankie' hit Steve with a rock which hurt him.  Frankie remembered being suspended from school and sent to therapy with Dr.  Morris.  Frankie liked and trusted Dr.  Morris.

“Do I have to go?”

“Yes, you do.”

“If I go to school will my Mommy come back?”  Fiona was referring to Joanna who she remembered as her mother.  She didn't know her Ethan at all anymore.

“We discussed that.  Your Mommy is working.  She'll be back soon.  She told me to tell you that she loves you.  She just can't see you right now.”

“But I want to see her.”

“You will, Frankie.  You will.  I promise.  When she is finished with her job, she'll come home.  She is doing important work.  She is making the world safe for everyone.  You have to believe that.”

Frankie knew that Dr.  Morris had never lied to him.

“I know.  But I want her now.”

“Make your Mommy proud.  Be good at school.  Don't cause any more trouble.  You'll see her soon.”

“When?”

“Very soon.  She is almost finished.”

“When is soon?”

“All I can say is soon.”

Chapter 24.

Dr.  Morris had a contact at what would be Frankie's 'new school'.  Right at this moment, he was creating a complete record in the school's computer for Frankie.  It listed his age at 11 as well as his address, his vaccination status, his former school, grades, and all the other pertinent information needed for admission.  There was also a psychological workup written by Dr.  Morris herself.

Later that night, Frankie made a discovery that scared him.  He was crying when he came running to Tina.

“What's wrong? The doctor said your Mommy will be here soon.”

“It's not that.  It broke off and I can't find it.”

“What?”

“My wee-wee is gone.”

“You wee-wee is gone?”

“Yes, I don't know what happened.”

Adults have been lying to children for as long as there have been people.  Tina explained, “Don't worry that is normal.  It'll grow back.”

“It will?”

“Yeah.  It's like baby teeth, it falls off and then grows back bigger.  It's called puberty.”

“It really grows back?”

“Yes, it does.  Didn't your baby teeth grow back?”

“They did.”

“It's the same with your wee-wee.”

This sort of made sense to Frankie.  Growing back bigger appealed to him.

“How will it grow back?”

“I don't know.  I'm not a doctor.  You can ask Dr.  Morris when you see her if you like.”

“But if it fell off, then where is it?”

“It could be anywhere.  But don't worry about it.  It's normal.  Soon you'll have a wee-wee bigger than ever.  Let's go out and get some ice cream!”

“What flavor?”

“Any you like.  Get dressed and we'll go.”

The distraction worked; Frankie forgot all about it.

Chapter 25

At school, Frankie was an average student.  He was in the sixth grade and did as well as most of the kids.  On his last English assignment, he only got a 7 out of 12.  His work looked like any other boy's.  Even his penmanship had changed.  Fiona's flowing script was gone replaced with something a little less refined.

When Frankie saw Dr.  Morris next, there wasn't a hint in his personality that he had ever been an adult nor a girl.  He was a carefree rambunctious boy in all respects.
He wasn't a bad boy, but he would stand up for himself, thus he was respected by other boys.

“How's the new school?” Dr.  Morris asked.

“Pretty good.”

“Making new friends.”

“Lots, there are a lot of cool boys there.”

“Have you been to their houses?”

“Some.”

“What about the girls.  Do you have a girlfriend?”

“No, I don't like girls.  They always do dumb stuff.  Well, most of them.”

There was a tomboy that wasn't too bad in Frankie's eyes.  But they weren't friends.  They just sort of hung out in the same crowd.

“I'm glad things are going so well.  Aunt Tina said you have something to ask me.”

“It's about my wee-wee.”

“I know.  It's perfectly normal.  Don't worry about it.  But there is something else that concerns me.”

“Something else?”

“I thought by now the swelling on your chest would have gone down.  I think you might have to go to the hospital to fix the swelling.”

Frankie thought that he had only been wearing the binder which flattened his check because he was hurt in the fight he had with Steve.  He didn't think what he had on his chest were women's breasts.  He wasn't allowed to think such a thing.

“They don't hurt.”

“That doesn't matter.  They need to be removed.”

Frankie didn't want surgery.  But he didn't want the swelling on his chest either.  He had already been challenged about it.  He handled it like a boy with a little physical intimidation.

Surgery was set, during which, not only would Frankie's breasts be removed, but his hips and butt would be made into a more masculine shape.

The surgery kept Frankie out of school for a couple of weeks.  He had to have his homework brought in and a tutor was hired to teach him during his absence.

Tina was home almost all the time that Frankie returned home after school.  Although there were times that Lily-Rose would babysit or another of Dr.  Morris's patients.  Throughout the weeks, Frankie kept his scheduled appointments with Dr.  Morris.  Very little happened at these sessions as Frankie was already all boy the way that Dr. Morris wanted him.  But when it was time, Dr.  Morris had started to feed into Frankie's mind what his mother looked like.  Ethan had changed a lot since becoming Joanna.  Now that Joanna was about to return home, Frankie had to know what his mother looked like.  Dr.  Morris also made Frankie think that his mother hadn't been gone for months.  She hadn't been gone even a day.  She was just gone for a short while and he was left with a babysitter.  Thus, when Joanna arrived at Frankie's home, he didn't greet her like a boy who hadn't seen his mother for months.  It was as if his mother had stepped out and was returning.

Frankie was up in his room when Joanna entered the home.  Frankie continued to watch his shows, then an idea occurred to him.  He wanted some ice cream.

He ran down the stairs, as boys often do.  “Mommy, can I have some ice cream?”

"Sure thing, Honey.  Don't forget to put the bowl in the dishwasher when you're finished."

"I will, I promise, Mommy."

Frankie didn't even give his Mommy who he loved dearly a hug.  He preferred to get some ice cream instead.

He scooped out the ice cream from the carton into a bowl and took it to his room.  He ate it while the adults talked.  Mommy seemed a little upset from what he could tell, but he didn't worry about was upsetting her.  There were cartoons to watch and toys to play with.  What adults did, didn't concern him.

End.
