Cardonali the magical imp was doing what he always did, he caused trouble to others for his own amusement. Cardonali had the ability to put any thought into a person's mind and manipulate them as he wanted to. He stood unobserved or at least unacknowledged in the back of an elevator waiting to see who would get in.

Paul was standing in the back of the elevator when a woman entered on a lower floor.  As the elevator descended towards the lobby, the woman started to scream.  Paul retreated into the corner of the elevator.

The woman looked at her reflection in the mirror.  She was babbling to herself.  "Oh my God, it can't be.  It can't be!  This can't be happening?"  Her hands went to her face and then dropped down to her neck and chest.  She paused for a moment at her chest until her hands sprang down to her crotch.  "This can't be true."

Paul didn't know what to think.  He wanted to say something but didn't know what.

The woman turned.  Then she approached him.

"You did this!!!" she shouted.

"Look lady, I didn't touch you," Paul said defensively.  He knew that he hadn't put his hands on the woman.

"I don't care how you did it.  Change me back."

"What are you talking about?"

"You changed me."

"I didn't do anything."

"You are the only one here.  You must have done it."

"I didn't do anything.  I didn't touch you."

"I know it was you.  Change me back."

"Change you?"

"Yes!"

"Change you how."

"Make me a man again."

"You're crazy."

"I'm not crazy.  You did this to me."

"I didn't do anything."

"You had better change me back."

"I didn't do anything."

"Look, I'm more man now like this than you'll ever be.  If you don't change me back, you will regret it."

"I didn't do anything!"

When the elevator finally got to the lobby, Annmarie had tackled Paul.  She was sitting on his chest throwing punches at his face.  Paul was covering himself the best he could.

Cardonali smiled in the back, not that anyone noticed him.
