The Elevator Fifty-Fifth Floor (Patreon)

Cardonali the magical imp was doing what he always did, he caused  trouble to others for his own amusement. Cardonali had the ability to  put any thought into a person's mind and manipulate them as he wanted  to. He stood unobserved or at least unacknowledged in the back of an  elevator waiting to see who would get in.

Bonnie and Morgan had just entered the elevator when Rebecca came running up and pointing at them.

"What did you do?  What did you do?" she cried.

Bonnie turned around, "Who are you?"

Morgan crept closer to Bonnie, "That lady is scaring me!"

"What did you do to my boyfriend.  I loved him.  He loved me!  He was going to leave you! and marry you"

"Your boyfriend.  I don't know your boyfriend."

"Morgan is my boyfriend.  We have been having an affair for a long time now.  He was going to leave you.  Now you made him into this!"

Morgan hid behind Bonnie."

"What are you talking about?"

"You know what you did!  Was it because he loved me more than you?  Is that why you made him into this?  Why couldn't you let him just leave?"

Without understanding what was going on, Morgan started to cry.  Bonnie didn't know what that woman was talking about.  Only Cardonali knew the full story.

"Lady, get away from me or I'll call the police!"

"Go ahead and call the police.  I'll tell them what you did!"

Morgan continued to hide and cry behind Bonnie.  Bonnie did phone the police while protecting Morgan the best she could.  Rebecca kneeled in front of Morgan to talk to 'him'.  "It'll be alright baby.  I'll make sure it is all put right."

Cardonali made sure that when the police arrived that everyone would be waiting in the elevator.
