Droplets roll off the mirrored lens, rapidly falling away when R pulls off the accessory to fix S with a questioning look that soon turns mischievous. “Do that again and I'll have the perfect excuse to—”

“Just answer the question properly,” S intones, going back to watering their mother's garden.

R continues to smile to themself while using their handkerchief to dry off their sunglasses, but their eyes remain solely focused on you. “I would try a random confection from those whom I trust,” they clarify their original answer. “I still might study the wrapping to guess its flavor…”
